An Enjoyable Morning
We booked on Golf Now as I was looking to get an early morning round in while visiting from Niagara.
The clubhouse is clean and modern, and the staff was excellent.
The course was in good shape, and is an interesting test of golf.
There were a lot of seniors out so be prepared for a slower pace of play but just go out and enjoy yourself.
Next time we will try the food.
Great links course
Had a blast... Beautiful links course coming from someone who doesn't usually like links courses... Staff was friendly and courteous... Food is great... Best prices I've seen yet for memberships
good bang for your buck
We booked at time with Golf Now and played 18 holes in great time and the course was a nice challenge. I will be back
Hackers Paradise?
Good for beginners of all ages.
Seniors, children and those in the learning phase of the game.
You will hear FORE !!! and be taking cover from wayward shots and close holes.
It is now a 12 hole course which was a 9 hole course ...3 holes have been squeezed into the original 9 hole pasture course. I'd like to see the course name changed to DEER FLY RUN as the amount of deer flies on this course is sometimes unbearable.
Interesting 12 Hole Course
We enjoyed our round of 12 holes. We could have repeated the first 6 for no extra cost but because of the hot weather found the 12 holes adequate. The course not too challenging but found it to be a refreshing change to playing harder courses. We'll be back. They also have a great deal for Wednesdays after 12pm. Golf & Cart for $15.00!
A pleasure to play
Nice afternoon to play a round. Staff are wonderful here especially Brad. Very welcoming.
12 holes for the price of 9
!2 hole golf course. Well maintained and well set up. Some challenging greens. Beautiful course and scenery. Close to city and a enjoyable drive to Little Britain. Driving range and restaurant to boot. 10 minutes to Lindsay for all the main restaurants etc. Good course friendly staff and great prices. I will be coming back.
Great beginners course
The greens are lush and in good condition. The greens are small which makes scoring well difficult and challenging to the short game. This is a forgiving course for new golfers. The staff are very friendly and it is obvious they are passionate about making this course and facilities one of the best in the Kawarthas.
Nice Practice Course
Very friendly staff. Excellent course to dial in your game before hitting regulation courses. Greens little on slow side but staff working hard to improve conditions.
Great Time!
Very Good Value! Very pleasant management! We will be going back.
Love the 12 hole concept.
It's a comfortable blend of par 3, 4 and a couple short 5s. We really enjoyed the new 12 hole layout. 18 is often very tiring especially for new or senior golfers and nine leaves you wanting more. A round can be played in a few hours rather than all afternoon. The course was in very good condition. Tee boxes are fairly small and some of the greens are a challenge to hit being on the smaller size. The owners are putting a lot of effort into the course and we saw quite a few new tree plantings going on.
All in all it was an enjoyable afternoon and excellent value.
This course is only 12 holes
Based on info from their website, we believed this course to be a full 18 holes. When we arrived, we were advised it was 12 holes so we would play 12 holes and repeat the first 6 to get our 18 in. Good course for beginner players though.
Good course for newer/less experienced golfers
Relatively wide open, with few opportunities to get into trouble. Very small greens, with good speed, and some interesting contours. A great course to go for newer golfers to learn the game without the pressure of more challenging courses. Course would benefit from irrigation system for fairways and the addition of a few traps (there are none).
This is espeacially good course for a beginner since the holes are not too long.
The greens tend to be small but they are all in excellent condition. Shorter par 4 holes give a shorter hitter a chance to score a par now and then.
Thank you for your comment! Must have been a busy day with some new golfers on the course. Sorry about the deer flies, bring some bug spray with you next time. Golfing in the country has that effect. A Bit surprised at the low score on friendliness of staff and conditions of grounds though. The course is the best it's ever looked and we are always friendly and do everything we can to make people feel welcome and looked after. We're always looking to improve so please feel free to let us know how we can make your experience better.
Thanks again for your review.
