Nice course, too many players.
This course is getting A LOT of play. The whole course and around the green had trampled grass that was all swept towards the greens due to traffic. Around the greens and the greens themselves were concrete like.
Everything was pretty chewed up.
Greens need some work and the second cut could be a little shorter.
Big Challenge
Every hole presents a big challenge if you are a 10+ handicap.Long par 4's and very challenging par 3's . Lot of dog leg holes. sand traps are placed fairly. Water not an issue.If temp is warm to hot-best take a cart.

Bad cart management
We arrived at the course to find out that they did not have power carts available for rent and that we would be required to walk. I have played well over 40 rounds this year and this is the first that I have come across this issue. The staff stated that the carts only go out twice and that there were two on the course that may be in but that they had no idea what group had them and what time they would be in. I was disappointed with the fact that a) they were short carts, and b) that the only potential two that they had, they had no idea when they would be in. I elected to use a free of charge pull cart for my round. When we were about to tee off of hole 1, the staff came out to tell us that a cart had just returned. I was appreciative and took the cart for the round. I just found it awful bad customer service to have no plan. Re the course, the greens were terribly maintained in comparison to the fairways.
Rude Staff
I dealt with a very unpleasant gentleman. He will be one reason I will not being returning to the course. It’s unfortunate that staff members will be this reason, but there are plenty of courses in London with great staff.
I couldn't believe the condition of the course. After all this heat and the fairways and greens were in great shape. Greens were fast and you could take a divot in the fairways! Well done Fawshawe!!!!!!!!!
Great Day but very Slow
The weather was perfect and the course was challenging enough but our pace of play was slowed by the group in front of us. They would not let us play through because they said there was a group ahead of them - that group was over a hole in front. No one from the course keeping tabs on pace of play. Staff we interacted with at check-in were great and very cognizant of keeping physical distancing.
Easy Front, Tough Back
Sadly, the greens had just been aerated, so bumpy and sandy. The front 9 is shorter and generally straight forward, except for one 90 degree hole. The back is much tougher to walk and to play. The par 3s are 200 yds, which is out of reach for seniors and short-hitting women. It is a hilly course, which can be fatiguing. It is better to ride.
Traditional very enjoyable
Fanshawe’s Traditional course (1 of two 18 hole courses offered) was very enjoyable. Huge tree lined fairways, long par 3’s and quick greens made it fun to play. It was perhaps too challenging for the ladies as there is not much of a gap between tee choices, making the par 4’s & 5’s quite long for them.
We had a great day all in all and would recommend it again.

Hardly anyone else on the back nine - then a wee slow half way through the front.
Saturday golf
Course was in great shape and fun to play. Only fault was lack of golf carts. Had to walk the first nine . Was able to get a cart for the back nine
The traditional is in rough shape. I wont play there again. Way better course for cheaper in and around london Ontario.

Continues to be good value in an established course.
Everything at the course was good. Pace of play was surprisingly good for a Friday afternoon especially since there are no course marshals or a starter. The cart girl could use a little help in trying to get to every group. The only annoying issue has nothing to do with the course, got at least 5 emails from Golfnow to do this review - not really necessary!
