Eagles Nest Golf Club
About
Eagles Nest Golf Club sprawls across a rugged landscape of sand dunes and dense fescue that was formerly a sand and gravel quarry. The terrain is the ideal setting for a scenic, challenging round. The golf course's layout is a unique links design by Canada's top course architect, Doug Carrick, who incorporated slick, fast greens and meticulously manicured fairways. Golfers face many precarious challenges including sod wall bunkers, vast waste areas, and prevailing winds. Eagles Nest Golf Club offers panoramic views of downtown Toronto, especially on the par-3 8th hole. One of the most notably difficult holes is the par-5 17th, which features a split fairway, water, fescue, and a desert-like waste bunker.

Eagle Nest
They should install the wire hanger cup plate That you can life your ball out of the cup for the cups on the green instead of blue depressed blue plates.
Fantastic
This course really went out of its way to ensure its players and staff complete safety during this pandemic.
They were extremely well prepared and very creative in their safe distancing procedures.
The plastic dividers in the cart allowing two riders per cart was very unique.
The course was in excellent shape and all things considered they did a great job.
Congratulations to the staff at eagles nest for stepping up their game during these difficult times.
I will return soon
No carts
This course is nice but it’s not walkable. The elevations between tee boxes are insane. For a course that is usually mandatory cart it’s unfathomable why they didn’t offer single carts or at least pull carts. We couldn’t finish the round.
Poor treatment by staff
I have to say, I may have missed the no golf carts where being put out for use. I played 2 courses last weekend where both courses had carts out, with 1 person per cart. When I spoke to the the person in the pro shop, he indicated that it was for COVID reasons for players and staff. All staff need to do is wipe down the cart after each use like they do at many other courses. I have bad hips and one member of my group has a knee brace, there was no way for us to play 18 holes. The pro shop person would not give us a 9 hole rate and just didn’t seem to care. Also no water on the course. We will never go back and I hope no has a heart attach or passes out walking this very hilly course.
2020 May round
This is a great course.the price is too high for this time of the year and the condition it’s in given that it’s the start of the season. Price is justified later in the season but not worth the $135 at this time if year. Staff was great and friendly. Also they need to update Golfnow that the range is closed and that they have a 20 min arrival policy like other courses have to inform the customer.
Very pleasant place
It is a very nice club with good courses and pleasant staff
Eagles Nest will both challenge you and wow you
Eagles Nest GC is just north of downtown Toronto and has become one of the best public courses to play in Canada (recently ranked as #17 in the country). I played it 3 times in 2019 and it is my favorite course in the GTA. The course features excellent staff, great clubhouse, quality driving range and chipping area, and overall course maintenance and quality is outstanding. My favorite thing to note about this course is how it challenges you both mentally and physically. For example, of the 18 holes I typically only pull out a driver on 3 holes as missing the fairways can be disastrous. With tight sloping fairways that are lined with high fescue, strategically placed bunkers, doglegs, elevated greens and tee boxes, and up/down hill shots this course is geared up to challenge any level of golfer. The par 3 Hole 8 is one of the most picturesque holes in the country. An elevated tee box with a downhill shot the the green that overlooks the downtown Toronto skyline in the distance - however if you focus too much on the skyline and miss the green, well, good luck. Simply put, best course in Toronto.
Very Nice treat for Golfers
I always wait for GOLF NOW to give a good deal for this course. It is such a beautiful course to play, the day we played was cold and very windy , had to use two clubs more to reach the greens. It is a very challenging course for anyone, the fairway bunkers are guaranteed to loose a stroke and there are a lot of it. Beautiful practice range, stunning club house and excellent staff. I will wait for the next golf now special to play it again.
One of the best in TO
One of the best courses in Toronto. If you haven’t played here I would definitely recommend it. Greens were super fast and approach shots have to be good or else.... Practice range is really good as well. A great course.
Disappointed
I was disappointed in the course for the time of year. I had played it a few times a few years ago and my son (single digit) was dying to play it. Our entire foursome was disappointed in the course conditions. For a supposedly ‘higher end’ course, I’ve never seen so many unfixed pitch marks on the greens. The fairways were littered with unfixed divots. From the golfers in front of us and behind us, this course seems to attract the non-golfer who can afford the greens fees. The clubhouse is beautiful but the restaurant was closed-just the halfway house was open.
Sorry but we won’t be back. With all of the BMW marketing, this course seems like golf is on the lower end of priorities. There’s much better value out there for your hard earned dollar.
Mid September 2019 Eagles Nest
Played twilight for $95 incl cart. Had an amazing time course is in great shape and very challenging. Surprisingly the course was quite booked. Front 9 done in 1:50 mins but back 9 in done in 2:40 and just squeaked in the Last hole blindly! Highly recommend but note not s course for novices.
Played 4 hours but still didn’t finish.
My third time play in Eagle Nest. Beautiful course. We start at 1:20 PM today. In first 7 holes was really good. Start from #8 , every hole we have to wait for at least 10-15 minutes. Not finished the game. Too bad experience.
Play the best at eagles nest
The course conditions were fabulous. The greens were sneaky fast. Have to pay attention to where you hit your puts. Stay out of the secondary ruff or you'll lose a lot of golf balls. Surprised this course has not hosted a PGA event yet. A challenge for all levels. Loved this course.
A tough challenge
Beautiful but tough, prepare to play five to eight strokes over your handicap!!! Especially if you are playing it for the first time. That is if you are striking it well.....if not prepare for a bigger score....
Great round
We arrived and were greeted by a friendly host that offered a few pointers.
They allowed time for a warm up session at the driving range. They didn’t rush us at all.
We warmed up and went to the Tee box.
Overall once on the course it was very smooth and not rushed a great course.
Great Course
Love this course! Great layout, beautiful and very challenging. Strong suggestion ... stay out of the bunkers. :)
I have played here dozens of times including the day you played. I have never been treated with anything but respect. You obviously picked the wrong course to play and didn’t do your homework. Don’t blame the employees for your poor judgement. Just bring a bigger crying towel.
