About
Eagles Nest Golf Club sprawls across a rugged landscape of sand dunes and dense fescue that was formerly a sand and gravel quarry. The terrain is the ideal setting for a scenic, challenging round. The golf course's layout is a unique links design by Canada's top course architect, Doug Carrick, who incorporated slick, fast greens and meticulously manicured fairways. Golfers face many precarious challenges including sod wall bunkers, vast waste areas, and prevailing winds. Eagles Nest Golf Club offers panoramic views of downtown Toronto, especially on the par-3 8th hole. One of the most notably difficult holes is the par-5 17th, which features a split fairway, water, fescue, and a desert-like waste bunker.

Golfer Reviews
Great track..service dosn't match course
First, let me start by saying this course is in great condition, very challenging. Normally there weekday rates are $180, 200 plus. Which is IMO, a top tier price to pay for a course.
But, the half way house was closed on the turn after 9, we went downstairs to the bar to find food and a beer, and it was a social club between the bartender and 5 people, service was horrible, nothing to eat unless ordered and delivered, and the bartender ,, well she was more interested in the sitting bar boys, then serving clients that were on the turn. I am not a picky person, but if you want to charge Eagles Nest prices, then train your staff to be attentive, don't close the half way house while golfers are out there, and pay attention. Sadly most of the golfers here aren't the regular public, so maybe it doesn't matter.
Best Public Access Course in GTA
Always in Superb Condition - Great Layout w/ a lot of character - DO NOT miss in the wrong areas - Fescue in close proximity to moderately wide fairways and very quick, hard greens requires your attention for all 18 holes - Strategically located stationary Beverage cart on each 9 (cross paths 2 twice per Nine) = no distracting motor noise during your backswing - Half-Way House w/ great food options
Best Golf Course in GTA public or private
True test of golf, beautiful course.
Very tough but very fair too
This course never disappoints.
Great Course, Terrible Management
In 2016, I was given a gift certificate from my wife to play this course. She knows I enjoy this course a lot. Unfortunately due to several reasons, I could not play it but had reached out to the Golf Shop. They confirmed that the gift certificate would be good for 2017. I wish I had got that in writing. I called to book only to find out that they only honoured the certificates to the May long weekend because it was a cheaper rate. Now that the regular rate was in effect, it was VOID. That is not what I was told. Furthermore, I receive emails from the course and they could have easily sent a notice advising clients like myself that they made a chance in their policy. I get all kinds of emails about Mother's Day Brunch and Ladies Night. But I didn't get anything to let me know my gift certificate had to be used before a certain day. In speaking with them, they informed me that I was not the only individual who was impacted. I am glad I used GolfNow to book and so that I didn't pay the full rate.
Very good
This golf course takes you to the next level of golf if you get a chance to play this course take a long slow look at each hole you will not be disappointed fantastic .
Cream of the crop for GTA public courses
We got this round on a hot deal- which means GolfNow keeps all fees, but we were still treated A1 by all staff at Eagle's nest.
As soon as we arrived a staff member drove up to my car and asked if we would like to play just me and my friend rather than with the twosome we were paired with, which we accepted. He also advised us on how to play multiple holes on the course.
Cart was very clean and had a small cooler with two water bottles in it- nice touch. Marshall on the course was very friendly, he helped us look for a ball on the 3rd hole (which is a gorgeous hole). Course was in immaculate shape.
You'd be hard-pressed to find better golf under 100$, especially this close to Toronto.
eagles nest review
The course was beautiful, I have only one complaint and it was the same as my playing partners is that the greens were way to fast and you couldn't control the ball I rarely 3 putt and all of us were 3 and 4 putting all day which makes for a long day. Slow the greens down a bit and it would have been perfect.
Great Day
The weather was perfect, the staff were super friendly, the course was not busy at all, in great shape, and we had a terrific time. They even had my truck detailed while i played! Food was great also. Definitely going back soon. First class.
Great Day
Everything from when we pulled in till we left was perfect, the starter found a way to get us out early and it was like we had the course to ourselves despite it being a busy day. Thanks again and will definitely be back soon!
Surpise
Pace of play on the front nine was 2hrs 10min. Back nine was terrible. 3 hrs. No Marshall in site on back nine. Very surprised to see people with jeans on at this facility, and driving the cart by the green on par three 8th hole. No Marshall around for that either. Otherwise course was in fine shape half way house and cart good service.
Wowed
Wow, just wow. Finest golf course Ontario, hands down. Tremendous layout, somewhat reminiscent of the great links of great britain. What I love most however, is the staff members, whom are eager to ensure you have a good time. Course is rather difficult though. I played from the tips and could only manage +53 over par here. Felt quite laid back the whole time; started round at around noon, and finished at around 6, pm in time for dinner. What a most wonderful way to spend the whole afternoon on the course.
decent value for conditions
I found the greens didn't roll consistent or true perhaps a result of earlier aeration.
This course is always a treat to play and is strategically layout rewarding tee shots hit in the correct side of the fairway.
Play the correct tees for your skill set and you will be rewarded with a chance at birdies on par 5s.
Golfnow rate of 95.00 is about right for fall conditions.
Give it a try at a lower rate get a feel for the course then try it mid summer and the higher rates won't feel as penalizing.
Great course
Speechless....
The course is great and the staff are very accommodating. A must play.
Great course and great experience but
One of the guys in our foursome at our 950 tee time of four singles could not play at all. He shot over 150 He was terrible and slow and quite narcissistic insisting that we were the problem This is a premium public course. Our experience should not have been dampened by someone whose only qualifications for being there were a set of clubs and a credit card.
The rate was good but the three of us agreed we would never play with him again at any price. If he is a regular that does not speak well for the course
Great course and clubhouse
Greens were fast and also soft enough to hold shots.
Clubhouse really nice, good food.....even had car detailed while playing.
too expensive
asked by the starter to allow a single to T off on the 1st hole which we did. Did he not hit 2 balls on the 1st T and play 2 balls on EVERY hole thereafter??? with nary a marshall in sight, a breeze turned into a nightmare........
very nice design but traffic noise and urban setting distracted from the experience-therefore not worth the price. will not play here again.
