About
Eagles Nest Golf Club sprawls across a rugged landscape of sand dunes and dense fescue that was formerly a sand and gravel quarry. The terrain is the ideal setting for a scenic, challenging round. The golf course's layout is a unique links design by Canada's top course architect, Doug Carrick, who incorporated slick, fast greens and meticulously manicured fairways. Golfers face many precarious challenges including sod wall bunkers, vast waste areas, and prevailing winds. Eagles Nest Golf Club offers panoramic views of downtown Toronto, especially on the par-3 8th hole. One of the most notably difficult holes is the par-5 17th, which features a split fairway, water, fescue, and a desert-like waste bunker.

Great day at eagles nest
Looking for a challenge? This course has it all! Target golf, better hit the fairway! This course is always kept in the best possible shape. I believe it should hold the Canadian open.
Great course and challenging to the point of fairness
Played it 3 times this year and the course is in great shape. My only complaint was the pace of play was a bit slow on the back 9 holes and we had a 2some behind us that were a bit frustrated, but we had nowhere to go. That’s the way it goes sometimes... enjoy the company and be patient.
sub par experience
Picturesque course doesn't make up for the disappointing staff attitude at Lago and the rude marshals.
Premium not worth the service
Course not equipped to handle group bookings (15 guests) restaurant is understaffed resulting in waiting 1 hr for food (with a patio reservation), overheard waitress complaining about the amount of guests on the patio. I expect top notch service especially when spending a premium to golf there.
What a great pace of play
Great day at Eagles Nest today... pace was amazing and a superb track and staff was amazing.
Always a great time
I have played this course for more than a decade and it never fails to disappoint. The Carrick designed course is a classic. Whether you play whites at 6200 yards or golds at 6600 hundred yards, your perspective tee offs will be equally attractive due to creative setbacks and elevation changes. Lengthy fescue demands accurate ball placement and pot shaped bunkers provide great risk return decision making. Greens continue to challenge you on slope and speed. Course remains well maintained despite large traffic of players.
Great link-style course. I loved it.
This a big course, nearly 7500 yards from the tips. The fairways and greens are well maintained. You want to stay on them because the rest of the the course is long fescue featuring mounds and bunkers that guard the greens and are strategically placed to grab errant tee shots.
Excellent course and people.
This is the second round at Eagles Nest this year. It is in great shape and the people are kind and respectful. Not a course for the faint of heart but a wonderful track if you want a challenge. I’ll be back soon.
It’s a test on accuracy.
Eagles nest is one of the most challenging courses around the GTA. Always kept in the best condition possible. It really is like being in a private club setting!!
Excellent course
Really nice links style course. Some very picturesque holes, several quite challenging. Almost every hole requires a solid tee shot and the significant bunkering forces you to plot your way around. Was very windy when we played which made it especially hard at times, especially 10-13. Really liked it, will play again. Proper good course.
