There was a tournament ahead us, they played evey slow, so we only finished 10 hoes, but they said wouldn't give us rain check. Not very good CS.
Disappointed in Angus Glen
I have played this course for many years and it was always a top notch experience. I found. This time around was different, I found the grounds and course not kept to the standard at which they charge. We had to play almost seven holes and call for a drink cart on a very hot day. Two holes had a strong stench of manure. There are much better options for the price in my opinion.
Course in great condition!
I hadn't played this course in over 10 years and it is still beautifully maintained. However, I believe the golf experience starts the minute you pull up. I found the staff unavailable and I constantly had to reach out to them to ask questions. It's a very simple fix but you need to have staff that are engaged and interested in being proactive.
Pace,play,practice...
The pace is.
Very important when playing at angus all seem to move at a steady pace,
Playing here has a variety of hole set designs and green sizes and elevations.
The perfect place to practice all the different shots to improve your game.
Not suitable for beginneas.It demands certain shots.Otherwise you will be ball looking slowing down others pace of play...and frustrating yourself.
Fun course, great in every way!
I played with a foursome and it was such a pleasure to play this course. It had a good balance of technical difficulty and also just good old fun. Lots of holes to use the driver was amazing and the course is very well maintained for such a comfortable round. The staff was helpful and pleasant. Thank you for an amazing experience!
Too expensive to feel rushed
Paid almost $ 200 to play but I felt completely rushed and wasn’t able to play well.
The tee times between the groups are scheduled too close to each other leading to back-ups and feeling the pressure to play quickly.
Great course and decent golf round :)
Always a pleasure to play at Angus Glen. Friendly staff and great pace of play. Finished in less than 4 hours. I wish the weather had not gotten colder just today. Else perfect!
Interesting and challenging but lots of choice of tee boxes
I took my spouse (a senior) to play this course. I thought that she would find it too tough but no. From the red tee boxes she did just fine. I have played it before and I love the links style and the layout. My only complaint. We carted the course and about a hundred yards out we could go no further in the cart. No problem until the cart started warning us about pace of play. %0 yards out or so would not affect the fairways. You can't have it both ways. Pace of play or reasonable cart rules. Never saw a marshall!!
