Superior layout and challenging.
You could do a lot worse just north of the city limits. It's close enough to Toronto that the drive is easy. The service is good but not stellar. The course itself is a gem. The layout is challenging but fair. The conditions were generally good. Overall good value from a higher end course.
Angus Glen South zcourse
The course is in great condition pace of play was good. This has to be one of the finest course in Ontario. I would definitely recommend this course if you haven't played it I highly recommend you play it at least once.
Slow pace of play
Course was in decent shape; however, the pace of play was relatively slow (4hrs 30mins) and further impacted by a disgruntled group behind us that skipped the par 3 we were just finishing up on the green and moved to the tee deck we were about to occupy without asking or consulting. By doing this, they skipped the hole, had to wait as we would have had to wait for the group ahead to be clear down range, then we had to wait for them to tee off and clear. Their actions made no sense. Thankfully, we were not in a huge rush and let the bulls go without intervening. Marshall who was nowhere to be found should have intervened and the golfers should have followed protocol.
It was busy on the course despite it being 1PM on a Thursday afternoon.
Beautiful Course
Definitely a must play course and I would highly recommend it if you haven't played it before
Very fun course
Same course as the pros! Very fun course, challenging if you’re in the rough but the fairways are find-able. Very soft sand in the bunkers. COVID still so no rakes and reduced amenities but still good comparatively to other courses in COVID.
Terrible Course Management
Pace of play? We had a 12:20 tee time and our round finished at 6:15 Pm. There wasn’t a single hole where we didn’t have to sit for 15 minutes waiting for the group in front of us to hit, who had to wait for the group in front of them to hit as well. Where are your Marshals maintaining a pace of play? If you want to charge $160 for a round there’s a certain expectation amongst people willing to pay that. Many of the greens had patches of dead grass or grass missing all together. The only bright spot of the round was that there were several beverage carts so you saw one every other hole. Spend your money somewhere else.
