Bushwood Golf Club

About
Bushwood Golf Course offers both an 18-hole Championship Course and a nine-hole Executive Course. Bushwood offers some of the most affordable golf in the area. The 18-hole course is a manageable 6,500 yards from the back tees, making it approachable for players of all skill levels. It has a traditional parkland design that is player friendly enough for beginners. While it may not be what you're looking for if you want a formidable test, there are some risk-reward opportunities that more advanced players will appreciate. Rolling farmland surrounds the parkland layout. The tight, contoured fairways tumble across gently rolling terrain and there are more than 40 bunkers lining the softly undulating greens. Mature trees frame many of the holes and Duffin's Creek snakes through the front nine.

Very slow pace
Played this course 3-4 times and there were delays and slow playing golfers every time. Never managed to finish under 5 hours due to very slow pace and absentee marshalls. Would not recommend this course unless you are a first time golfer and enjoy taking long breaks between holes and while on course..
Long and fair course
I liked this course. It is rather long but somewhat open and forgiving if your drive is not dead center. Due to the length of most holes, and we played from the Blue tees, if you don't hit a long first and second shot, you won't get much chance at any pars. The conditions were good, with a bit of soggy areas (drainage not that good, although there was a lot of rain recently). I would recommend this course for sure. We went back again the next day!
got bush?
Its a decent course, with alot of open fairways its great for a new driver but alot of the par 4's are short so if your pounding you driver u better be good with your wedges... now if u think your gona sick a putt on this course forget it! Your gona 2 or 3 putted every hole due to the uneven greens and raised holes... I one thing I can say is that I had played with some members who were great group of guys and were fun to golf with which made me forget about my putting..lol
some drainage issues
Overall this is a good weekend course, a good challenge if played from the gold tees.
Some drainage problems on a few of the fairways and some greens had spots of bumps that wreaked havoc with a few putts.
With the Golfnow discount, it was a good value
overpriced
It's hard not to enjoy a round of golf and this course was no exception.we found the course adequate but would not go back if we didn't have a Golf Now hot deal.
Bushwood
Easier to Moderate course, we were fortunate to be going at a good pace as the group in front only played 9. But keep in mind tee times are only spread out by 6 minutes so pace of play is typically slower.
Overall we had a great time only b/c we are fun ppl in general!!
Playing where Bubba plays
Having not played this course for about 10 years I jumped on a golfnow deal. Afterall if it's good enough for Bubba Watson it's good enough for me. We teed off at 4:15 and we were already having to wait for every shot. We were a foursome playing so we should never have had to wait. On some holes we would have 3 groups on the tee. Finally decided to walk off after getting 9 holes in 2.5 hrs. Course is in decent shape and gentleman at counter very nice. But for $40 twilight at this pace I'll have to take my business elsewhere.
Good course
Good course, conditions were fairly good, sand bunkers are usually in poor conditions at this course other than that good value with the golf now discount.
Heads up!!
The course is fine - an average public course with a few challenging holes. The value with GolfNow was great.
One thing to watch out for, you need to keep your head up. The tee blocks where often in the line of fire from other holes, and there were many fairways that faced incoming shots from other holes. Many close calls.
They need a marshal. Play was slow with a wait at every hole, but the course was not crowded. Groups ahead of us did not know the rules of playing through.
Great when you get a deal!
This is a very nice course that has not matured yet, but uses its terrain and natural hazards to its fullest.
Although a few holes run side by side and you run the risk of suffering a brain injury due to lousy players hooking drives next to you, this is a very fun and moderately challenging course.
They take excellent care of the fairways and greens, and the starters (shout out to Chuck!) are very friendly and help get the groups moving at a good pace.
This course can regularly be found on Golfnow.com, and when getting a deal there, it's really a no brainer to at least give this course a try.
Very good test of any golfer's skills
All holes offer a good test no matter what your skill level is - from novice to low handicapper.
Great Value
The course is in ok shape. It's a fun course to play. Great value for sure!!
Great place to play a round - forgiving fairways!
Course was great, a bit wet in spots but that's unavoidable with the recent weather. Good, open course with forgiving fairways, great staff, great price.
Will play again and recommend to friends.
Decent
First time here in a couple of years. Staff are nice. Had a 9:30 tee time but didn't get off til well after 10:00. Seemed like regulars showed up without times and marshal tried fitting them in. I mentioned to him that that's unacceptable and he kindly said " don't worry about it ". Finally got off with a twosome in front of us and behind us??? Course was very slow. Some greens were damaged and TONS of ball marks on them. Also a couple rough tee decks. Apart from lack of marshaling to keep pace....for the money, I guess it was alright. Wouldn't pay full pop and likely won't play there due to pace.
Hidden Gem
Drove past this course several times and finally decided to try it out. Glad I did. The course is in great shape and obviously the grounds staff spend some time taking care of the course. Not a very challenging course but looking forward to my next visit.
good value from golfnow.
BOoked the tee time from golfnow with great price for a round of golf with power cart. Vourse condition is ok....but pace of play is bad..
Good course, well kept
Had a great round. Teed off at 6AM, First one on the course on a Sunday. Greens are in good shape.
Tired GTA Golf Course
The last time I played Bushwood was 5 years ago and I played there regularly as it offered a gentle reminder of what Toronto-area golf courses were like in the mid 60's to early 80's. Family-run and welcoming to its patrons. It has a well-kept driving range, an "executive" golf course and a "championship" 18 next to it. Other than the pleasant staff, the course hasn't changed in 5 years with any noticeable improvements. Fairways and greens are playable but that's it. Greens would benefit from someone repairing all of the pitch marks not tended to by its golfers. Bunkers have not been tended to or updated with any quality materials. Our group was there early in the morning and while the parking lot appeared busy there weren't many golfers playing on our course. After our round we sat in the empty 19th Hole restaurant. There weren't any golfers teeing off for over a half hour while we had our drinks. Finally, some golfers arrived to begin their game. ne comment from our threesome was what do you expect for $50 with cart? As someone who has played many very good and excellent courses for $50 in the US, I said welcome to Toronto.
