Sleepy Hollow Country Club

Upon arrival, was told cannot use power cart due to wet condition. Has to walk which is quite tough for 65+ years old guy and not used to walk this somewhat hilly course. Several holes are quite wet but overall speaking still not too bad. Pace was good as not too many players at this time of cold n wet season. Many singles n twosome so can finish in less than four hours. This course is well maintained and leaves are blown clean making finding the balls easier and quicken the pace. Fairways n greens are in good condition and with the fine weather, still a good day to enjoy the outdoor.

I felt like this courses made efforts to prevent those with Underpar vouchers from playing a round at a reasonable time. My group tried for weeks and were left with 4pm tee times. Season is now over, ended up losing the paid voucher.

This is the ONLY club that has EVER failed to live up to Underpar commitments, so just a bad apple amongst many respected courses. I will now be extra careful to only purchase vouchers from courses whos owners that are trustworthy and honorable.

They sold their rounds to undpar and then they don' honour their agreement certificate indicate play anytime Monday Tuesdays Thursdays and weekend but would not give the underpar player an early tee time.
Take a screen their bookings by asking you if you're on underpar player or if you're a member when you say you're an underpar player they give you a 4 p.m. tee off all season long unless you complain and complain. Apparently the pro told them not to give an early tee off to on the underpar. I lost my round because couldn't get an early tee time.

Golf was great. Pace was 3 hrs. Teed of at 4:40 2 players. The course is in good shape. It was just the small things like uneven flag stone on some tee deck walk ups. The periscope on 2 is all all broken. Fencing around the backs of some tee decks is falling over. Some back tee decks abandoned. Simple things yes but also simple to fix up.

To start this course is not for the 120 golfers it is a very tough track that is well maintained with super fast greens, tons of hills and super narrow fairways but overall excellent course if you want something tricky

No starter, or anyone directing players. 4 guys who shoot mid80s-mid90s, playing a new course on a windy day. We were keeping pace considering hurricane winds and a new course with many blind tee shots. Didn’t notice anyone behind us, until a staff member/member Who was playing behind us drove up to us after hole 7 And condescendingly said “we were doing good but slowing everyone down behind us” meanwhile the group in front of us has just left the green. This power tripping member then proceeds to chunk one 20yds OB. We laughed.

Nice course, awful staff and organization. Members should pony up some more cash if they don’t want daily fee groups on THEIR course, instead of treating them like garbage.

My son and I found the course challenging with some great views. It was a very hot and humid day, so walking the course wasn't a good decision - should of taken a cart. There were no cart refreshments (probably due to Covid), so we ran out of water a few times.

It was a very slow round - it took about 4.5 hours. Even though my son and I walked, we kept pace all the way through the course, always waiting for the group ahead of us. It appeared the group ahead of us was also waiting for the group ahead of them through out the course.

The disappointing event was on the back nine when we were approached by what appeared to be a staff member (no clubs on his cart and wearing a green course shirt) who asked us if we were members followed by a statement that we were holding up the course. As stated, we were at pace all the way through the round, and quite frankly, what does it matter if we were members or not? We were paid guests on the course. If you don't want guests on the course, then don't sell rounds on the web.

Being a cancer patient, I was denied a power cart as a single rider, so I hand to walk the course.
Otherwise I had a enjoyable round..

it had a lot depth and challenges that made it a fun course. Busy day with people right behind you which made it feel a little rushed. Otherwise, super friendly people and great time on the greens.
