Remington Parkview Golf and Country Club - Upper

We were able to use a 4 for 2 walking rate coupon from the golf coupon book. We paid $55.00 each which is a really good deal. I think that their regular rates are a little expensive for that course.

Overall we enjoyed our round. We were advised up front that the pace would be slow due to league play.

The greens were in very good shape and the fairways and ruff were also in good shape.

I have always enjoyed Remington-Parkview as a kind of backup when I couldn't get a tee time elsewhere. This time I was surprised. The course is in excellent condition and is a pleasure to play on. It's not overly demanding but it's still a test for most golfers. I will be back.

I have played the valley course a few times so decided to give the Upper course a shot. A nice course that plays well but lacks a true signature. Lots of par 4's that are fairly basic and repetitive. But course is in great shape, greens are well maintained and if looking for a round that isn't overly taxing, you will be hard pressed to beat this course in the GTA. A good opertunity to work on a part of your game without scoring too harshly, or a great course for those fairly new to the game as it's pretty open if you go off course.

Gotta say pretty disappointed with my round here. Booked a foursome for Saturday morning at 8am about a week in advance. Get to the first tee box only to have the Marshall tell me that a group of 5, YES you read that right a group of FIVE would be taking out 8am tee-time and we would have to play behind them. The Marshall then let us know that “these are the bosses friends and so it doesn’t matter what’s going on or already booked that day, I have to make room wherever”, and then starts telling us about how much money the owner has and all this nonexistent blah blah blah. I don’t care at all about their money unless they’re paying my round. I could care less about the boss and his friends. These guys were absolutely awful, loud and SLOW. The entire course was backed up because of these guys. If you are a business then handle your business properly. Gotta say I probably won’t be coming back here if it costs $100/round plus you can get bumped at any time for whatever reason the “boss” decides. Unfortunate to know there are still businesses run this way instead of worrying about your PAID customers. Don’t see myself booking another one here

Pace of play was terrible. After the first 2 holes, we had to wait for 5 to 7 minutes at each hole. The par 3 holes were much worse. There were 2 groups stuck waiting for tee off. It made the game very boring and tiresome.

Thoroughly enjoyed my round on this day. The course is in great condition and pace of players ideal. Staff very friendly and accommodating.

My only complaint is that I wish the price was a a bit lower for seniors so I can play more.
