REMINGTON GOING DOWN
I've played this course many times and the Valley is a decent layout.
Main issue is the pace is bad. Over 5 hours weekday afternoon which doesn't make any sense.
Course condition has also deteriorated significantly compared to the last time I played. Tee box, fairways, and greens are in poor conditions.
Price has also gone up a lot and really not worth the money anymore. Better choices out there.
Lastly, there are no cart that passes to sell drinks and food. However, there's one available I think at hole 12 and the attendee at the time wasn't all that enthusiastic and the selection was very bad. No sandwiches when I got there. I even heard a different group looking to buy beers and was limited.
Overall a poor experience and most likely will not go back this season.
Early round
92.00 dollars for a round of golf at 630 am ridiculous
Driving cart should be included in the original price 70.00 dollars
Valley
The Valley course was a nice track, at a reasonable price.
The golfers at this course are in severe need of etiquette refreshers. Divots everywhere, and many ball marks on greens.
The pace was slow (5h15).
On the bright side, I love the course. Good variety of hole design.
Overpriced
92.00 dollars a player to golf this course is robbery
Amazing staff
Best staff I’ve encountered at a golf course. The valley is a cool 18, with hole 2 being quite scenic. I play here a lot and am always happy with my experience
Very friendly golf course
..The location is good, the condition is good, and the course is fun.....
The burgers at the clubhouse are really delicious..^^..
Remington Parkview (Valley course)
Excellent condition and pace of play was
great . No waiting on the groups ahead or behind. Have always loved playing both Courses over the past 40 years. Will continue as long as I can afford.
Would be nice if Senior's rates could be a bit lower. Would encourage more tee times per week .
Valley course
The course is fine. Bad golfers should not complain. However a warm area to hit the longer clubs is badly needed. I know why you don’t. Somebody could get hurt. It’s time to get creative . Some nets to hit into might help.. personally I need ask foursome to let me play through. Warnings on the steep hills are an excellent idea. More portable bathrooms would be an asset.
Great value, and YOU can control the pace.
Friendly staff, from the clubhouse, a greeting by the starter to cart and station support teams. All well done!
The Valley course. Well kept (there’s some wear on a few holes that’s evidence of volume of guests), but overall positive experience. There’s plenty of elevation change, holes that require thought for club selection, long iron/fairway wood challenges and a number of accuracy plays thrown in the mix. The greens are firm, but land from high and it’ll stick.
PACE…can be slow, but YOU can control. The Valley course begins with a par 3 and moves to a postcard view par 5, with the tee box 10 stories up looking out to a generous fairway, lined by forest on the left that narrows into the fairway to challenge your second (or third) and a ‘little’ pond on the right that begins 220yds from the tee all the way to the green…the first hole clears quickly and the starter sends you on your way…expect to wait at the second! The trip downhill to the fairway, especially if groups are walking, is painful to watch; summon all your patience and wait till the group ahead has played their final approach to the green. They’ll be well off in the distance for you to tee off before then, but, if you’re not a beginner, I’ll guarantee you’ll wait again in the fairway, and the rest of the round will have you talking about the pace. This course layout really requires 15min gaps on the first hole, but management feels congestion is best placed behind the trees on the second. WAIT on the second and the remainder of the round will be more enjoyable!
Will definitely play again and am looking at package deals that offer even better value!
Dropped by the starter after 18 and joined a group on the Upper course for the fist time, for another round. Very different structure from the valley, with little elevation change, however, added length and ‘impeccable’ maintenance made this round as much fun as the first. Fairways are softer under your feet, more forgiving for beginners than the valley, yet challenging enough for experienced golfers looking for par opportunities. The greens, like the fairways mentioned, were soft, enough to hold long wood shots onto the green (make sure you have your widget ready to mend the ball marks) and required firmer putting strokes; again, more forgiving for a beginner but a good read gets a long put in when the experienced needs to save par. The hydro lines in the back holes will grab you at first, but their initial distraction soon disappears.
Preferred the Valley, but wouldn’t hesitate to play the Upper again if tee times are booked. Enjoy your round!
Great day
Everything today was great. Getting started with friendly staff, friendly starter and the course was in great condition always is, enjoyed the day so much. Looking forward to the next round,
