Beechwood Golf & Social House
About
Beechwood Golf & Social House sprawls across gently rolling hills dotted with natural water features and trees, providing a terrain that is ideal for golf. The championship layout features fast, undulating greens and carefully contoured fairways. Ponds come into play throughout along with meandering creeks and streams. There are also a few strategically placed bunkers in play. Beechwood Golf & Social House's finishing hole is notable for both the scenery and challenges it offers. To begin the hole you need a precise drive between out-of-bounds on the left and a creek to the right that cuts into a landing area, and then you must make a skillful second shot to a triple-tiered green that slopes towards the creek's edge.

Some issues with personnel and protocols
So there were some clear and obvious Covid violations along with a over zealous Golf Pro, John White.
John had pretty much zero manners and was far to aggressive and rude while being incorrect about everything he had to say. He made accusations which were wrong, didn’t introduce himself, and was for the most part illogical. Should not be interacting with people on course in my opinion.
Course held a large tournament of approx 88 people whom were not social distancing in a gathering patio while drinking and yelling etc and then all lined up very close together as they paraded inside , a lot without masks on etc.
Other staff members were quite pleasant and PROFFESSIONAL , food was good.
We were all shocked and upset by some of the events and would not recommend this course due to those experiences
Great Experience
Great course & service. Food and beverages were also very good.
Hidden Gem
Just finished 18 with a few friends. If you are looking for a hidden gem in the Niagara region, I would highly recommend Beechwood!
Although I didn’t play very well, it was nice to have a couple of cold drinks from the friendly cart girl. After the round we ate a great lunch (Nicklaus Burger) on the patio. I met the manager Rob and I raved about the food so much that he brought Chef Angelo out to meet us.
What a great golf day!
Course Conditions
My foursome was really disappointed by the course conditions. All of us have played in the area and could tell that the course conditions were less than adequate.
It is a challenging and fun course, but we wish the conditions of the course were better.
Terrible conditions.
I have played numerous courses in Niagara Area and this course is in the worst conditions I have seen in my life.
The old dump in St Catharines is in better shape. The owners should be ashamed. I would say green keeper also but it obvious they do not have one.
I would expect to pay $25 not any more for this course
Great value
Really enjoyable round on nice little course. Fastest and toughest greens I have played all year.
