About
Beechwood Golf & Social House sprawls across gently rolling hills dotted with natural water features and trees, providing a terrain that is ideal for golf. The championship layout features fast, undulating greens and carefully contoured fairways. Ponds come into play throughout along with meandering creeks and streams. There are also a few strategically placed bunkers in play. Beechwood Golf & Social House's finishing hole is notable for both the scenery and challenges it offers. To begin the hole you need a precise drive between out-of-bounds on the left and a creek to the right that cuts into a landing area, and then you must make a skillful second shot to a triple-tiered green that slopes towards the creek's edge.

Good Spring Golf
Course seems to be drying out nicely. Looks like they are making quite a few improvements. Play here a couple times a year. Nothing really bad to say considering the time of year. I enjoyed my round! They only sell beer in bottles which I find strange.
Needs to dry out.
Muddy, really wet course and poor conditions for walking. Greens are in pretty decent shape, although a few look like they are under construction and one had a big divot as if someone played their tee ball for the next hole off of it. Cart/walking paths an absolute mess, bring waterproof shoes and a change of socks.
Cheap spring golf
Like most courses you get what you pay for, spring golf not much open yet, this course could be nice with some care put into it.
Great early spring golf
Drove 5 hours from Northern Ontario to get some spring golf in (still snowy at home). Good conditions all things considered. Walking only but it was not gruelling. Staff was super friendly.
Golfnow mistake
The tee time was booked with cart included, as advertised by Golfnow. The course would not let carts out due to wet conditions.
Cart coupon?
This course is in decline
Course in dreadful condition. Bridges over creeks were temporary and very unsafe. Many areas just large mud bowls. Bunkers empty. Overall dirty unkept feeling. Stay away.
Hi Greg, i wanted to address your points.
1) we apologize for the muddy conditions in March. Not sure how we can impove that given the time of year.
2) you did not pay for a cart, were not charged for one. We reviewed your booking and it did not include it.
3) we are renovating our bunkers like many courses do in the off season. Again it's March.
4) we charge a green fee rate proportional to this time of year. Sorry if you expected June conditions in March, which given your comments suggests that.
5) our bridges are not temporary nor are they unsafe.
6) sorry if our course was more challenging then you expected and had a bad round.
Considering its early March the course is in great condition, many improvements from last year and looking like more to come, excited to see what this course looks like in the summer. Very friendly staff and ownership as well.
Great Place to play for the Money
I enjoy this course, played today, Enzo and those that work there are always exceptionally friendly. I generally get to play there 2-3 times a year. Today the course was in really good shape, not many leaves on the greens. Again, truly enjoy golfing here.
Great serene course
Beautiful quiet country course. Lively staff. Course well maintained.
Save Your Money…A Real Disappointment
I have been a fan and promoter of Beechwood for many, many years. Returned today after missing last season and unfortunately the course has gone significantly downhill.
Whoever owns Beechwood should take a ride around the course and get their eyes opened to the numerous obvious issues. Cartpaths are a mess…fairways and greens are below standard…ALL traps are a disaster (as per pic)…a poor overall experience.
I am hopeful management will take steps to improve the course otherwise it won’t take long for the word to spread and players will stay clear and select another more enjoyable place to play.
P.S.
Do not wish to be too harsh or negative and acknowledge the nice hole signs and ball washers.
Bunkers need alot of work and rough is a bit inconsistent areas, but an enjoyable round
Fun Course for Anyone
Awesome staff and facilities. On the front 9 most holes were in great shape; literally the only complaint is fairway bunkers are pretty weedy and not well kept. The price is extremely reasonable for 18. Had an amazing time and fellow golfers were friendly.
Wet course
Generally the course was wet. The sand traps were neglected and more like cement traps and one was a pond. Greens generally slow but ok.
I enjoyed the afternoon
Hi Ryan,
Can confirm this was a GolfNow issue. Course had instructed no carts be advertised this time of year, but it was accidently activated on a few tee times.
We've sent you a $20 promo code to your email just now for the bad experience. Also, in the future call into the support line at 1.844.800.4653 and let them know the situation and they can properly credit you for the mistake.
