Beechwood Golf & Social House sprawls across gently rolling hills dotted with natural water features and trees, providing a terrain that is ideal for golf. The championship layout features fast, undulating greens and carefully contoured fairways. Ponds come into play throughout along with meandering creeks and streams. There are also a few strategically placed bunkers in play. Beechwood Golf & Social House's finishing hole is notable for both the scenery and challenges it offers. To begin the hole you need a precise drive between out-of-bounds on the left and a creek to the right that cuts into a landing area, and then you must make a skillful second shot to a triple-tiered green that slopes towards the creek's edge.

Nice course
Course has nice greens. Several tee box options.
Great deal on golfnow. Would definetely play again if another deal pops up.
Many dead ash trees
Many trees cut down
When all dead trees are cut down and all stumps removed the course will look alot nicer
The grounds crew works very hard to keep the course in good shape

In the area on vacation. Great value for a nice course. The owner and all staff very friendly.
Not Pleased
Had I known that the fairways are roped off, I wouldn't have paid for a cart. Actually, had I known about the fairways being roped off I would not have played at all.
It's was ok but never again.
1. Tee boxes were a mess and too hard.
2. Fairways were in poor conditions. While we were playing, we had to work around sprinklers that were on.
3. Some greens were in good shapes but most of them were extremely wet and unable to putt well.
Staff were friendly... A+
Won't be coming back.
Potential after repairs are complete.
Starter put us off 20 mins earlier though we wanted to putt/stretch. He made suggestive comments to our wives while we were out of earshot about why they brought their husbands. Course is under extensive "repair" that is not mentioned on their webpage, or Golf Now. Front nine was slow. Back nine quicker only because some ahead played only 9 or dined. Luckily greens were is decent condition or this course would be a write off at this time. There was NO sand in any bunker, but lots of dry sand on hard/dry tee boxes! There was a greens keeper who walked on the 3rd green in the path of 1 of our 4 who was chipping on and 3 of us were already on the green.. He cut a new hole before we were even off green (sorry to be in your way!) Other grounds crew drove out from trails midday while I addressed a tee shot without stopping or checking tee offs. There was a sprinkler on the 10th tee that was watering the 4ft high weeds behind us. Cart paths were nothing but potholes on every hole. This course is busy based on members. Daily fees during reno is too much. We will not be returning any time soon, if at all.
Frustrating
Not a regular Beachwood player and now I recall why. The course maintenance and grooming was extremely poor. More weeds in the bunkers than sand, all unplayable. Tee boxes, fairways and fringe look like they grabbed a kid walking down the street with a push mower. The pace of play was terrible and it was not at all busy. Had to wait to take every shot. No Marshall on the course to enforce pace and the group infront of us seemed oblivious to etiquette as it was even a thought to let us play through. Won’t be going there again.
