Whirlpool Golf Course

It was cart path only due to wet spring conditions. Pro shop ran out a handicapped flag for us on the 3rd hole so one of our carts could roam. A member of our group is still hitting them straight with 2 artificial knees and 2 artificial hips. Great service. You can tell that the course is not maintained to the same level that it once was, though. Resources have been diverted to the newer Niagara Parks courses at Legends. We took advantage of a great Hot Deal to play an early round at this great old course.

It is difficult to concentrate on playing golf and ignore the scenery, it is unique. I love the signature hole. The course is challenging, but that is a goood thing.

Couldnt believe how friendly everyone was. The pro-shop attendant went out of his way to welcome us to the course. The starter was very obliging and even the grounds keepers asked us if we were enjoying the round. Very pleasant experience

..nice course for the money/value. Late season play after greens aerated but still not bad for a fall golf game. Course layout is challenging but also forgiving if you have to recover from an errant tee shot. Overall a fun course to play.

Well maintained golf course with level tee boxes , fairways and greens.

Love playing Whirlpool. Course is always in great condition and provides nice layout with challenging par 3's.

The good: The greens! They were fast and true with very few ball marks.

The bad: Sand traps. Thankfully I didn't spend too much time in them as they were hard with not much fluffy sand to get under the ball.

The ugly: The fairways. Some of the fairways were really patchy and the tee decks were pretty beat up.

The review: Now I will cut these guys a little bit of slack for the following reasons:

#1. It's pretty late in the season.

#2. It is a public course owned and run by the government.

#3. This course probably receives a ton of traffic

I always hear so much hype about this track and maybe that has set my standard for this course too high. It is average at best in my personal opinion. Every time I play it I am always UNDERwelmed. I don't want to bash the course, I just think that is slightly over rated. I always like to end on a high note so I will say this: The greens were awesome and the pace of play was under 4 hours. Yes, you read correctly, UNDER 4 hours.

Beautiful course. It was a gorgeous fall day to play golf. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The course is in quite good shape. The clubhouse is going through some renovations, but otherwise everything is fantastic. The course runs along the Niagrara Parkway and the trees are very pretty right now. Get out and enjoy this scenery while you still have it!

This is a great course I've played several times. The only thing I don't like is the cost of food and beverages. For example two hot dogs bag of pretzels and a drink was $15.00.

If there is a negative it's the helicopters love this track.always make sure when I'm in niagara. ..go jays go!!!

We enjoyed everything about the course. Will play it again.

My buddy, his wife and my friend play 9 holes on a very high quality academy course every week. As the season is wrapping up this was our year end game and the girls were anxious to play 18 on a full course. Having played here a number of times over the years, I thought this a perfect location with numerous other activities nearby to round out a great day. Weather was cooler than we expected, but forecasts were off slightly. Course was in very good condition (obviously seasonal maintenance performed in the last month - greens punched - but still good-very good). Played best ball by couple to maintain pace of play - wrapped in just about 4 hours due to catching somewhat slower players on 14 and having to wait to make some shots. Will definitely be back. This is a very nicely maintained course with good amenities for golfers. If you play before the autumn maintenance activities, the greens would be excellent). Value was good (used GolfNow through my Golf Logic app to book).

We have played Whirpool many times over 25 years. The fairwaays have deteriorated as if they do not have the money to maiintain all of each fairway. The pace of pplay was very slow because of a tournament in front of us with some beginner golfers and there were no rangers on the course to maintain playing times. Finally, I have had enough of the helicopters !!

The staff was great, the carts are above average and the people with whom we played were fun to know.

Fairways were in good shape, occasional patchy area but overall I was happy. The greens were in great shape, better than I've seen in many years (especially #15, which they've had trouble with for quite some time). They were consistent for speed, and rolled true.

All in all, I was thrilled to see this beautiful course in great shape. Will play again before the season is done.

Since 9/11 it has been a hassle to cross the bridges to play Canadian courses. We therefore have not played it in years. I remember that the Whirlpool course was one of our favorite outings that we looked forward to each year. I'm happy to say that we were not disappointed upon our return yesterday. The course is lush, the greens in great shape and the staff very helpful. We will be back, in spite of the long wait at the bridge. This place is worth it!!

This is a municipal course that acts like a private on. 90 degrees that day, but plenty of shade

A beautiful course- challenging but fair. Drought has affected some areas of greens and fairway but course maintenance is exceptional and each hole is scenic.

Weekend play is usually slower and you get people that are not golfers, golfing; such as a stag group of guys that had 10 people playing at the holes. The heat and lack of water has put a damper on the course conditions, but not ever hole. I recommend the course at least once, but play during the week.
