Royal Niagara Golf Club - Escarpment Course
About
The Escarpment Course is one of three nine-hole courses at Royal Niagara Golf & Country Club. The course is so named for its layout, which begins at the base of the Niagara Escarpment and snakes upwards to the top of the wooded Escarpment; afterwards it goes back downhill to the clubhouse. The golf course has been built to championship standards with carefully sculpted fairways and cavernous bunkers. There are also undulating greens and water hazards coming into play throughout. The challenging round is complemented by the scenic views provided by Royal Niagara Golf & Country Club's idyllic location between the Escarpment, the Bruce Trail and the Welland Canal

I feel this course has really gone downhill since 2023.
Conditions for a $90 round were fair at best.
Lots of marshalls the course but they do nothing to improve the pace of play
Also, There are no portable washrooms on the course, which isn’t a problem for 50% of the population.
Good times
Love royal Niagara been playing there for years. The grass was browner than usual. Pace of play was slow on the front nine but I’d have to blame the group infront of us. Range is nice chipping and putting area is great. Love the course has some challenging holes has some friendly holes. Beers and range buckets are over priced but we got a deal on golf now so it worked out.
Good Course to get the “Long” experience
The course was well kept, cut and watered. Pin placements which provided so awesome challenges. The course itself has a a fair bit of undulation which does come into play. For the price I think that this course will provide a great learning experience for those who have never seen a long course and for those who play mostly flat and straight courses. Plenty of par 5’s and par 4’s to recover.
Highly recommended
Travel vacation to this area and scheduled a day of golf here. Very friendly staff, easy checkin and cart pickup. Beautiful course even in the rain. Only recommendation is better signs.
Good day for golf
Got there before our tee time and checked in. The starter gave us instructions and we were on our way to the first tee of the Old Canal course. It's been a while since I'm golfing here but there was a good deal on Golfnow to make it worth the 1 hour drive. As I had said I've been here maybe 6 or 7 seven times but I never was able to play this particular 9 so I was glad we made
It. Both the front and back nine courses were in great shape for this time of the year. The only negative thing was the greens had been aerated recently so your putts were bouncing a little at times but it was still a good golf day. Both my golf partner and I agreed that we should come back again, and that is top priority on our list without a doubt. I recommend this course to anyone who wants a top notch golf course to play. I'm sure you would be glad you did. The cpro shop is atvground level and has easy access and the employees are friendly.
Great course
Recently this course has fallen off a bit but I’m glad to see at the start of the year it’s shaping up to be a great ones again. Rough was a little long due to rain I’d imagine which made finding the balls hard if you rolled into the rough but overall looking forward to teeing up again
Wet
Still a lot of water on but considering all the rain we have had still a great course and fun to play
very dissatisfied. Course was closed when we arrived. Hope to get a refund.
Great early season round
First time to play here. Drove from Toronto to play here because they had carts (spouse had hip replacement surgery and can’t walk 18 yet). Staff were super friendly and accommodating.
Greens a bit oversanded but in pretty good condition considering it’s early in the season.
Will return. Thanks for a great day.
Great Spring Conditions
Early spring wasn't expecting much, but was surprised on the condition!
Can't wait for later in the season to come back
