Golfer Reviews
A warm welcome, good facilities and an enjoyable challenge.
Nice people who genuinely want every patron to gave a great day make a big difference. That’s what you'll find from the moment you enter Oakland Greens.
Hit a few balls and roll a few putts before heading to the first tee. The course is easily walkable and features a unique design with several oppirtunities to make both birdies and double bogies.
Greens are a little rough and the rough is cliver tough, but both are fair and playable.
Enjoy your day.
Good value but need work
Good value for the money
Course reasonably maintained except for a few greens which need work
Friendly, helpful staff and generally relaxed atmosphere
Great shape
Pleasantly surprised by the great shape the course was in. Thought the leaves on the ground may have been issue but they were blown off every fairway, which were in excellent shape.
Cottage Course
Driving Range, Beverage Cart, not backed up, greens in good shape, fairway and rough are on par for a cottage course... happy to be golfing..
Good course but under maintenance
Friends tried to play but numerous holes under maintenance
Golf Now needs to be advised of this and golfers arriving need to be told ahead of playing that this is so in order for them to decide if it's worth playing what's not under maintenance
However, good to know they're working to keep the course in shape !
Great staff in the clubhouse, greens were awful
Overall, not too bad. The staff were extremely friendly and accommodating and the fairways were in great shape. Course layout is great, however I was very disappointed with the condition of the greens. Every single green had large dry spot areas with no grass and big chunks missing making it very hard to get a consistent roll/read on your putting line.
Course was good, greens need work.
We were only able to play 13 holes as the skies opened up.
But overall not bad
Nice course needs some work
Generally good condition though some greens definitely need work
Certainly long and challenging enough
Good value for the money
Coarse is good for the money. Usually fast paced so complete in 3 to 3.5 hours.
The course was in great shape
Greens were fast but true and maintained very well. Fairways were a bit brown but still soft enough to take a divot without breaking a wrist.
No Title
Except for the mosquitos in the woods and areas with long grass, course played well, fast greens. Nobody out there with a perfect day weather wise, not complaining. Got to love 4 hour rounds
Great value for a round of golf. You won’t be disappointed.
Cart and round for 45$. You can’t beat that price. Played 8 am as a single done in 2hrs and 15 minutes.
Hole #1 needs some comestic clean up.. better cutting of fairway and 1st cut distinguished better. All greens are true and run very well.. not your cookie cutter flat greens, to score well you need to read the greens well. Love hole 9 par 3 251 yards.. straight drive is a must.. love hole 13 the par 5 600 yards. Driver, 3 wood and 7 iron to a slight uphill and narrow green to get on in regulation. Hole 17 and Hole 18 long par 4,s to make the round challenging for your avid golfer.
Hidden gem in cottage country...
Driving range is excellent took the kids a few times to work on the game.
Great value for the golf lover.
Challenging enough but fair. Small greens that are fairly quick but they still hold well
Beautiful course but poor condition due to flooding
The scenery on the course is stunning and the layout is beautiful but the course has a lot of standing water on many of the fairways and also on some of the greens!!! It has been a harsh winter and an extremely wet spring in Ontario and the courses are showing the results still. In spite of this, we plan on playing the course again in a couple of months when it has dried up. Definitely recommend it in dry season.
WET
I normally like this course, BUT it should not really have been open.
We have had a really wet & cold spring. All fairways had water and tip toed around with retrievers to get golf balls off fairways. Rarely able to play ball from where it landed .
Some Greens even had water covering sections.
The few golfers out were really doing a lot of damage.
