Enjoyable
Decent shape that early.
Love the big greens even though they are difficult.
Course play tough in the wind
Covid
Hockley is a great course, however, they were forced to close due to covid restrictions and golf now did not notify me. Since I booked through GN I feel they should have let me know. Very disappointed in golf how’s service. Last time I had to cancel a reservation, I was given coupon codes to cover the cost of my booking, tried to use them multiple times and they did not work. I’m out 200$ from it.
Value for Money
One of the best most challenging layouts. Great staff and well organized. Pace is a bit slow, but that likely has more to do with the difficult elevation changes.
Best value for money of any course within 100 kms.
Nice course when you get a deal
Greens were a bit slow but overall challenging course with beautiful vistas. Great for this time of year.
Hockley Valley in November
course was in outstanding condition: fairways, very few patchy spots,... greens were pristine - no bumps, no dried out /brown patches - fast greens: receptive and true rolling no bumps... tough but fair pin positions, bunkers were mostly sand and not dirt nice feature... yardage post markers very accurate
Hockley Valley any time of year is very well maintained, always a supreme test, and outstanding value for your money!
Lots of potential
If the facility takes care of aesthetics, they have a real winner on their hand.
This is a "must play" course
We are definitely going back. If you have never played here before, DON'T WALK, we didn't and I'm glad. Course is all hills and elevation changes, make sure you pick your shots wisely, lol.
