Golfer Reviews
The Views
The course play was a little slow, but I blame it on the views. You can't help but take a few extra minutes to marvel at the scenery around you. From the rolling hills and cliffs throughout the course to the changing colour of the tree it was a sight to see. The course was tough, the greens were fast, the grass did not lend well to a low ball hitter, but still loved it. Make sure you were comfy shoes because even with a cart you will be getting alot of exercise. My calves thank you Hockley Valley
Fantastic Outing
Everything about our day was very good.
Should have checked Hockley's website before buying online thru your site. They have a Senior rate of $60 that your site did not take into account.
Buyer beware I guess.
Visitor
Tough tuff tuffff golf course. But absolutely beautiful views. No houses and subdivisions to hinder play or views. The key to this course is very much keep the ball in the fairways and study the layout of the hole at each teebox, especially on number 16.
The greens are fast and undulated so be advised.
Overall its a great course for average and low handicap players but definitely not for beginners.
And dont even think about walking, even with a power cart, you will get plenty of exercise.
Hockley Valley
Nice course, great views, just wish there was a driving range/driving net to warm up.
Great autumn day @ Hockley Valley
Love the terrain and the course was in amazing condition.
Terrific day all around.
One jerk of a member
Watch out for the A-hole member mister lee who just barges up with no tee time and insists on playing. The director of golf didn't have the balls to tell him where to go, ie a membership at another course cause apparently to the other members in the vicinity, he does this often. Why his membership is not terminated if this is true, I don't know. Any way we didn't let him ruin our awesome day. BTW the wood fired pizza is fantastic.
Too hilly for senior golfers. Cart paths in poor condition. Beautiful setting. Course in great shape.
Great course
Was not disappointed...good pace course in amazing condition
