Very nice and scenic course. Course conditions were the best I've played this season. Layout is challenging, with a lot of elevation changes through the course.

I will play this course again.

This place is just a golf ball farm. Who wants a resort course where you lose a golf ball on every hole? There is a sameness to the par threes. Will not be back.

Overall great course.

They need to monitor the large groups.

We had a group of 7 and a group of 6 in front of us. We were. Two some and they would not let us play through. No marshal in sight.

Fastest round I think I've ever played at Hockley Valley - under 4 hours. Played as a single until about hole 13 then joined a twosome.

Course was in good shape with rough typically long as it always is. My next round there won't be until the fall.

Hockley Valley was lots of fun to play, at a price point that is very reasonable for the experience. The was nobody at the bag drop/first tee to give us any guidance, which necessitated going into the pro shop. Once we got going the course showed pretty well, and provided a great test (the par 3’s were a fun challenge with the changing wind). The closed halfway house and limited supply of the beverage cart were underwhelming (only 1 Gatorade available). However, the play coordinator went above and beyond to bring us out a variety of gatorades on the 7th hole. The pace of play only slowed on a couple of the par 5’s, and we were able to play in 4 hours relatively easy. I will probably play Hockley Valley again later in the summer/fall.

The course is very pleasing to the eye. Absolutely wonderful par 3's. Par 5's are difficult 2nd shots. Many of the greens are raised so approach shots are a challenge. Very tight in places and a number of forced carries of the tee. Critical that you play the correct tees. Conditioning was good. Very slow greens and the tee boxes could use some work. Overall a pleasant day if you do not take scoring to seriously

Starter and pro shop staff were great, things were going well until we teed off. Course was in decent shape. Unfortunately we had the slowest group ever in front of us (waiting for every shot, multiple empty holes in front of them). Mentioned it to the beer cart staff x2 - no marshall. Called the pro shop after 4:30h (on hole 14) - no marshall. The other major concern was the amount of garbage in the long grass/woods on each hole. Beer cans, water bottles and loose litter galore. It looked like a college house party had happened the night before on each hole. Course was in decent shape and challenging enough. Good value at $60 (with a cart)....just clean up the issues!

Bring some extra balls....lots of them........we shoot on average 80-90 and most courses, this one is the same only lots of balls are in the woods, shoot straight do ya?, still will have lots of issues keeping the ball in the fairway, what a great challenging course.

played hockley valley many times. First time this year with these new covid overprices and the course has gone to crap. Lots of divots in the fairway with no repairs and browning out. Par 3 tee boxes goodluck its sand. Not impressed with this new hockley valley
