Golfer Reviews
Great course , and it’s tough Very rewarding for the price
The beauty of this course is incredible
Were fortunate to have such a challenging course close to town ; it’s not breaking the bank to golf 18 with a cart here either
Loved it
We had a blast

Outstanding course, but too slow
I have always loved the par 3s.....they are the best set of par threes that I play. The course was in very good condition, but some of the greens were showing stress with some bare patches....still very playable. My issue is with the pace of play........Two minutes short of 5 hours is way to long.
Worth every penny
To pay $10-$15 more then avg to play at hockley is worth every penny. This course is by far the nicest, well maintained, and scenic place I have ever been. It's challenging, but fun. Forgiving and ruthless. You constantly forget that in the winter that this is a ski resort. 10/10, WILL play again!
Pretty Golf Course
Great views from the tee decks. The downhill par threes are cool. If you are on the fence book it but play the correct tees for your game!
Proshop doesn't like Golfnow
I booked through Golfnow.I called to reschedule or get a raincheck due to inclement weather.
The lady how answered the phone denied me a raincheck citing the round was booked on golfnow
I drove 86km to the club to get the raincheck
If you book on golfnow, you only obtain a raincheck in person
Bizarre
Hockley Valley looking tired
Hadn’t played there in 20 years - but had fond memories. What a disappointment. Very poorly maintained and unwelcoming drop off area / pro shop. The kid just sat there as I pulled in….didn’t offer to help with the bags or the power court. He also bizarrely argued with me over whether my golfnow was prepaid - it was. Pro shop staff were ok. The starter was a jerk. They were aerating the putting green as we arrived so it was unplayable. Chipping area was closed and they don’t have a driving range. Ho hum.
As for the course itself, there are dramatic views and interesting hole designs. The greens were brutal having been aerated recently. The starter had assured us they were fine. They were a joke - ridiculously slow and bumpy. Appears they were also suffering from some kind of fungus. No GPS on the (old looking) power carts - particularly an issue given all the blind shots. No indicators for pin placements. Lot of guessing going on.
Come on Hockley, spend some money - very tired looking golf course / amenities.
