A joke
This is a farm field they call a golf course. Terrible condiotions and 6 groups waiting on first tee after my first 9. I did the proper thing and left. Worst Golfnow booking to date.
Unimpressive BEWARE of "18 HOLES"
I made the mistake of playing this course last weekend. I actually booked through golfnow and got what I believed was a great deal for 18 holes plus a cart. When we arrived, we were informed that it was for 9 holes twice. Not the end of the world, but still somewhat annoying.
The course itself is actually not terrible. Its not challenging and good for new golfers (I was playing with two).
My largest issue was the time to play the round. Our first 9 went by very quickly (under 2 hours) when we arrived at the 10th tee (hole 1 again) we realized there were 6 groups in front of us waiting to tee off. This is because of the holes all being played twice. Needless to say, "the back 9" took us over 3 hours to play.
There were no marshals enforcing play on this course. The pro shop pays no attention to starting times, it all just seemed unorganized. When we started again on the 10th hole (also the 1st tee) the group in front of us waited for the group in front of them to complete the hole. This led me to believe they were a skilled foursome and we would be able to play some of the holes quickly. The four of them teed off and proceeded to hit two balls into the woods on the left and one ball about 70 yards rolling up the fairway. This wouldn't have bothered me so much if they hadn't waited so long. Then they proceeded to head into the woods in search of the lost balls. They spent the full 5 minutes searching for the balls. All of this directly in front of the pro shop, with about 4 groups waiting behind them. An instance like this is where a marshal or someone needed to step in.
Its a shame because the course itself is actually decent. However this golf club is trying to be something its not.
No wonder we never heard of this course
The course is a bit of a field. Not very interesting.
The course presents their scorecard as 18 holes when it is just 9 holes repeated. We were very disappointed when we arrived to discover it was a 9 hole course. Kind of shady.
When we arrived back at the turn, there were 3 groups waiting to t-off on #1. So we left. Would never return to this course.
DO NOT COME HERE !!! ITS MINE !!
GREAT SHAPE , PERFECT FOR A QUICK ROUND . BUT DONT GO BECAUSE ITS A NICE HIDDEN GIMM FOR ME ONLY . BEER GIRL IS ALWAYS AROUND . AS ALWAYS MY DOG BUN WAS STALE . I THINK ALL THE COARSES ARE NOT ALLOWED TO SELL THEM UNTIL THERE AT THE RIGHT HARDNESS .
We enjoy this course!
Except for the goose droppings, the course is as good as it always is at this time of the year.
good price, good pace and decent shape
played here twice this year. this time for some fall golf. tee blocks were under repair and the sand trap on 3 has been under repair for quite some time... however this course is always in decent shape. greens were just aerated. attached picture was my tee shot on 2.
Very picturesque and great staff.
Great value but severely overbooked on this day. The staff is super friendly and the course is well maintained. I will definitely go back and recommend to everyone.
Affordable, challenging at times but not perfect.
You can't beat this course for the price point. It's a surprisingly tough at times 9 hole course that has wonderful maturity with full tall trees and lush grass in the fairways and the near ruff. A decent golf shot will generally be rewarded with a reasonable lie with no surprise hazards along the way. The tricky greens, while exceptionally small, are in very good shape considering that it's mid October. There are very few water and sand hazards but improvements being made seem to be adding new traps and updating existing ones. The tee boxes were below average and seemed to be slightly neglected compared to the rest of the track. Signage throughout the property is not adequate and needs to be addressed. Hot dogs at the turn is an important part of golf for me. My after 9 trip to the modest clubhouse yielded an under grilled dog, a stale bun and limited condiment choice (anybody ever hear of onions?). Overall I enjoyed my 2X9 round there and would happily play it again, particularly if I wanted to pay executive course prices for a par 70 golfing experience on a mature and handsome track. Great Staff and a friendly place. Do yourself a favor and try it out.
Ok Place to play
For a nine hole course its ok. I play there on a weekly basis. The grass really needs attention.
