Harmony Creek Golf Club

I’ve golfed there before with my kids. It’s a really low end course but close to home and easy to get my kids out. Previous experiences were fine. This time was different. I had accidentally paid full price for 18 holes instead of 9 for myself and my two kids (age 8 &14). The 8 year old should have been free in my opinion. They wouldn’t give me a refund for the extra 9 even though I knew id never be able to convince my kids to play 18. That was my fault though so I just took the loss. They didn’t have any electric carts available. I asked to rent one pull cart, because I had one in my car I could use. That sparked their concern that every golfer needs to have a set of clubs. I explained I had condensed 3 sets into 2 because I was hoping they would have an electric cart available. My 8 year old only comes for the cart ride and usually only plays the first hole. They insisted I rent two pull carts and borrow one of their bags so my 8 year old has his own set on the course. I understand that would typically support continuous play but as the mom, that meant I had to pull my own pull cart and his. I was fine to pay the extra amount for the unnecessary pull cart, even though they could have waived the fee since I paid full price for 18 holes already by accident. All was fine though and I got over it very quickly. Until the solo hippy golfer in an electric cart wearing a dirty wife beater and no shoes caught up to us in play. He was golfing barefoot! He was hammered drinking twisted teas. He wouldn’t leave me and my kids alone. If they are going to enforce their rule of one set of clubs per golfer, certainly they could enforce wearing shoes. I understand not requiring golf shirts at a course geared towards beginners but his tank top wasn’t even clean. I golf 3 times a week elsewhere and encourage my kids to love the sport as well. Harmony just lost a few lifelong golfers.

Everything was good until the 2 nd hole where there were a big group of kids practicing on the hole. We were unable to play this hole. Why couldn't the group just let the paying customers play through. It was a missed teaching moment for the iinstructors to show proper golf etiquette to the kids.

A little disappointed but will get over it

Good course for 18 holes in less than 4 hours. We rented golf carts which were expensive at $40 ea. They were not super powerfull, & very basic, but adequate.

We could have walked with our carts but 1st time playing there, so we were unsure if it was walkable.

We booked on GolfNow and had to prepay...there are no refunds and very few amenities.

Great, friendly staff. The martial was right there when he thought we had a problem with another Golfer. He was lovely & there was no problem.

The group in front of us had at least eight people. Probably 6 playing. They paid for three. They continuously partied on the greens and tees. They really had no idea of golf or how to play it, let alone rules or etiquette. None of the rangers did anything to fix the situation.

Course itself is poorly maintained, poor signage, horrible management, staff power trips, marshal was nice but did nothing about several groups of 6+ people slowing play, paid for 18 holes and wasn’t worth staying to play back nine.

Course needs a little attention on the tee boxes and greens

for a short par 3 course, walking 18 cost about $35 which really can not complain about. By hole 3 we were already waiting on 4 groups, this isn't due to bad play but simply overbooked course. What is the point in having tee times to book online if it seems like they let anyone walk on and play regardless.

Course conditions were actually really nice but for a par 3 course i was expecting to be done 3, 3.5 hours max, it took us 5.5 hours to play 18, i can walk full courses usually in 4 hours for 18

Be careful. One of the holes connects with hole 18 and you can experience people driving the ball towards you. We almost got hit

The course was unorganized, me and a guest of mine got there at 10:40am and were told that there were no carts because they were all reserved for 4pm. There were no pull carts either. No beverage cart and no server staff.

The course layout was not the best either, there were a lot of stray balls flying due to the way each hole intertwined with the others. At one point it was confusing as to where our flag was because there are two fairways that play parallel to one another.

I wouldn’t go again or recommend this course to anyone.

I find this course is great for me and my son to use as a warm up round before we play a longer course. It helps that are two minutes away by car.

I played Harmony creek last fall and had a good time. Went back this summer to be disappointed. Pro Shop staff member was very short with my group and not friendly. Grass had been cut recently with lots of debris throughout the course. Very soggy greens as well. Hope there is better up keep and friendlier staff in the future.
