Rebel Creek Golf Club

About
Rebel Creek Golf Club was carved from a scenic landscape of rolling hills and native wetlands. This 18-hole championship layout was designed with public play in mind, making it both player friendly and entertaining. Although it is a public golf course, Rebel Creek G.C. strives to offer the experience of a private club with a full-service clubhouse and practice facilities including a putting green with practice bunker. The golf course features a good amount of challenges including strategically placed bunkers, water hazards that come into play on a few holes, and the occasional uneven lie, but it is still accessible for beginners and intermediate players.

Its a Beaut
Nice!!! They should not allow walkers on this course.
Rebel Creek in April
Course was in OK shape. Greens were very slow. Lots of wet areas which explains why it was cart paths only ( glad I was prepared to walk )
I booked the hot deal on Golfnow for $25. It was worth that price, but I would not pay the full price that Golf North is asking.
Played Grey Silo the previous day and it was in much better shape. Cart rule was scatter and greens were much quicker
One huge problem
There are a lot of nice things about this course. It's usually in great shape, the pace of play is OK and the practice facilities are awesome.
The opening hole is perfect for an opening hole and there are only a couple of goofy holes the rest of the way.
Sadly, No. 18 is the worst closing hole in Waterloo Region. It just plain sucks and you get the feeling the architect ran out of real estate and made the best of a bad situation. A blind shot to a green you can't see is never fun, but it really sucks on the last hole.
Food is OK and the beer (when you can find a cart girl) is cold.
GolfNorth tends to overvalue this property and the fees are too high. It's nowhere near as good as Grey Silo but the prices don't reflect that.
Fall golf
Pace of play was excellent considering we were a foursome with two seniors walking. We were about 3hrs and 50min. We even had to wait on pretty much every hole. Greens were aerated recently, but, that's expected at this time of year. Overall good day on the links!!
Great Shape for November
Course was in great shape for November. And the course played long despite the tees being moved forward for the wet ground. Our foursome all played well and had an excellent time. Pro shop and Halfway house staff were all friendly and helpful.
Championship Course
Very well maintained and picturesque course. Fun to play with great variety of holes.
Oct golf
Course was in great shape fairways were good but the greens were outstanding fast but true for this time of year the whole course was excellent have to come back next summer didn't use restaurant
Windy Fall Golf
Clubhouse is built on top of a hill, making for tough shots on some of the higher holes due to wind. Some nice holes in the lower part of course. The course is in good shape and well maintained. Pick a calm day to play.
Definitely recommendable
Overall, this course was pretty enjoyable, neat, and well-laid. The staff were friendly and efficient, the driving range was big enough, and that little island challenge on the way out of the final hole was cute. The only thing I found a little lame was that the fairways didn't look healthy. I have no idea what has damaged the grass like that, but they looked like pockmarked and had a lot of untreated divots. It could have been more enjoyable in summer, I guess.
nice course
Great course well laid out. Nice hunkering. Every hole could be a golf calander pictture
Great layout but needs some work!
I've played this course several times in the past few years. Several of the holes requiring a water carry really need to have the reeds cut down as they're well over head high & you need to back up quite a bit in order to hit over them if you splash the ball. Greens rolled well & fairways were in good shape - just the rough needs some trimming. Some bunkers have been taken out but many more could be removed. Several holes will challenge you & once finished you look back & realise you should have played them differently. Conservative approach pays off most of the time!
Awfully slow pace of play
Won't play this course again until I learn pace of play is improved. It's an incredibly good course with such fantastic practice facilities, however it is lack of interest from management in better operating the course. Not a single Marshall on Sunday, golfers merrily setting records in slow pace and course management over selling tee times. Welcome to Rebel Creek... this can be a gem of a course with little interest from the management
Wide open
The course is well designed for those who don't like to lose balls. Wide fairways with lots of elevation changes and challenging greens. Beautifully designed and we'll maintained, which definitely showed since we had to wait out a rain delay. Tee times should be more spaced out as we waited almost hour after our booked tee time and they should have more adult beverage options. Other than that I will definitely play this course again, hopefully with better weather.
nice course
Even though its a nice course its not worth 70 plus dollars with a cart to play very few should be that price., The course is in good shape, the staff and food are great but plan on a 120 dollar afternoon for low with drinks and chow.
This is another reason why I like GolfNow, they make this course playable at a reasonable expense, otherwise I am sure I wouldnt play there.
course has been in better condition
the weather was hot, about 40 with humidity, only a breezy day made it bearable
The day was windy enough to make any course more difficult, but it was extremely maddening that once you got onto the green, on many holes, the putts wouldn't roll true due to uncared for greens.
as well, didn't see the beverage cart from the 7th tee until the 17th green, but had seen it for 3rd time on 7th tee, leading us to believe we didn't need to stop after 9th, as we assumed we would see our saviour again shortly. not the case.
overall though, when this course is in better shape, it is one that is worth the trip to Petersburg
Pace of play and beverage cart
We T off 14.15 in afternoon 2 hrs 30 min front nine. 3 hrs 45 min back nine
Lead group taking for ever three groups waiting on each t
No Marshall to help out
Also we brought plenty of water and a sandwich but most of that was gone way before the end and no beverage girl period after 2.30
Course conditions were terrible
The whole course was extremely wet. There has been no rain for over a week so this was done by the grounds crew. Fairways were saturated and green were so wet that they were damaged and in poor shape. Even the course was extremely wet, the grounds crew continued to turn sprinklers on as we were playing.
1st Time from the Tips
This course can play a lot easier than it appears on the score card. From the tips the slope is 139, but the fairways are pretty forgiving. Water only comes into play on a few holes, but is very manageable. Greens were in great shape, some pin placements can get very difficult, but overall a very playable course from 6950 yards; even for a 10-14 handicapper.
Great Day of Golf
I had a fanatic time at Rebel Creek
We received a bucket of balls for the driving range, some chipping practice & putting practice before our round od golf
The course is beautiful and in great shape
Best round of golf I have had in a while
I would recommend this to all golfers who want a great day of golf
