North Granite Ridge Golf Club
About
North Granite Ridge Golf Club spans 320 acres of beautiful woodlands in the heart of Muskoka. The layout plays through large boulders and towering trees across dramatic elevation changes provided by granite ridges, hence the name. The greens are undulating and the fairways are quite narrow, demanding both accuracy and skillful course management. It is home to the longest par 5 in Muskoka at 622 yards from the back tees. The challenges of the golf course are complemented by panoramic views that stretch deep into the forest, providing some scenic respite. Opened in 1999, North Granite Ridge Golf Club is fairly new but it has quickly become one of the area's must-play golf courses.

this course has great features
This course has a great layout using the natural rolling terrain and rock formations. Very picturesque.
Good value
Excellent value in Muskoka. Target golf and probably not suitable for beginners. Hilly but walkable if you are in reasonable shape. Friendly and professional staff. Course was in great shape and pace of play very good.
Thank you for the compliments of the course and the staff! The course is in great shape right now and we hope you get to come back soon!
Gem of a course
I have played north granite ridge from when it first opened. This was my first time booking a foursome on Golf Now. I am very satisfied both with the course and in using Golf Now to book the round. This is a terrific course with many stunning elevated tees, muskoka rock and ridges, excellent tree cover and fairways that forgiving but not too much so. my only caution is that the course did not have a roving cart with drinks. it was a very hot day but fortunately we had brought some water with us and bought more after 9 holes. Well worth the money.
We're glad you had a smooth booking process and enjoyed playing the course! We do offer all of our tee time specials online and can book through our website, www.northgraniteridge.com. Hope to see you soon!
Best bet in Muskoka
This is a beautiful course in the quiet village of Port Sydney. A tucked away gem. Recommend using a cart!
Thank you for the nice remarks! We like to think the course is a hidden gem as well! Great views but hilly, so we also recommend a cart. Hope to see you again soon!
outstanding
First time playing NGR - excellent time. Beautiful views, challenging layout and tricky greens. On Par with many of the premium courses in Muskoka. A must for anyone staying in cottage country. Booking on GolfNow saved us a ton of $$ too!
Thanks for the positive review! We're so glad to hear you had a great experience at the course and we're able to find a good deal. We do offer great rates on our website so be sure to book online. Hope to see you soon!
Friendly staff Poor greens
Tremendous staff welcome and friendly but the greens left a lot to be desired. Slow, grainy and not a consistent speed from green to green. A tight but short course.
We're sorry to hear the course was not quite up to par! The greens are in excellent shape after the rain, come back out and see for yourself!
Wonderous
We all arrive with expectations...
Prepare for them o be set surpassed.
Easily a top ten course for all of Ontario. Landscape couldn't be more natural with mature woods, old growth pine lining fairways and Canadian Shield framing the greens.
A real gem people will be raving about for years.

generally a wonderful golf course to play
Enjoyed the round, staff friendly and helpful, course not busy, no waiting time on any hole. Course condition could have been better, ie, greens and tees not mowed, green fringe not different from fairway grass, greens slower than practce green, fairways had some scruffy areas, not conducive to play as it lies. Recent rains had a few holes holes rather soggy not allowing carts on fairways, however, love the course and would play again.
Hi HaliLady,
Thank you for your feedback regarding the greens and tees, we will share this information with our grounds staff. We are glad to hear that these conditions did not hinder your experience with us at North Granite Ridge Golf Club and hope to see you again for another round soon.

Reason why it's called north granite ridge
There are several reasons why I golf and one of the main reasons is the scenery . I love how this course is cut through the forest. Your ball will never make it to another fairway. Starting at hole 2 you see why it's called granite ridge. Absolutely beautiful. The rock scape is stunning. Excellent views from the top of the course's tee blocks. You have to see this course.
We are so glad to hear you enjoyed your time and took in the scenic landscape surrounding our golf course. We love that while you are playing there isn't a road to be seen and you really are immersed in the beauty of our picturesque golf course.
We hope you come out to play another round with us soon!

Despite the rain it was great round....
Always a treat to play at North Granite Ridge. Friendly staff, great course and impressive conditions for the weather as of late. Had the course to myself and finished in 2.5 hours with a personal course best of 79. Will be back as often as I can get north.
Fall Splendor in Muskoka
North Granite Ridge is an excellent fall course..not busy..scenic fall beauty and a great deal for fall prices!!
Beautiful fall colours
We played the course at the end of September. The fall colours were glorious. The course was in great shape. The front nine is more difficult than the back. Many greens on the front are undulating and hole placements were very tough.
Staff were very friendly and helpful.
Great Day
This was perhaps one of my best golf experiences ever! Wonderful professional staff with a well maintained course was a pleasure to play.
Marshall the course, please!
We played on a Saturday afternoon and expected things to be a bit slow, but waiting on every shot is inexcusable. We made it thru 12 holes in close to 4 hours and turned back. Otherwise, conditions were good, there were some really nice aesthetic touches such as the Muskoka chairs and the staff was friendly and helpful. The course is better than when I last played it 5 or 6 years ago and the new clubhouse is great. I would love to played it again when I can get some rhythm cause it is a fun, challenging layout.
I totally agree about the pace of play . It isn't the players it's the golf course booking way to many people in a short period of time.
Wow
Unbelievable day at North Granite Ridge. Got an amazing deal on GolfNow and expected a lower end experience. Staff was super friendly and helpful, starter put us off through the back nine to get us through earlier and the course was tough but not too tough and classic Muskoka beautiful. Would come back at full price anytime. Very impressed.
Very picturesque
Beautiful course, some tight fairways. Abundance of wildlife!
This course has great features
The course is very beautiful. Especially the front nine. I love the Cambian rocks.
Thank you for the review! We do have some amazing views and so glad you enjoyed the layout of the course. Come back again!
