North Granite Ridge Golf Club
About
North Granite Ridge Golf Club spans 320 acres of beautiful woodlands in the heart of Muskoka. The layout plays through large boulders and towering trees across dramatic elevation changes provided by granite ridges, hence the name. The greens are undulating and the fairways are quite narrow, demanding both accuracy and skillful course management. It is home to the longest par 5 in Muskoka at 622 yards from the back tees. The challenges of the golf course are complemented by panoramic views that stretch deep into the forest, providing some scenic respite. Opened in 1999, North Granite Ridge Golf Club is fairly new but it has quickly become one of the area's must-play golf courses.

Great course
I used to be a member here and would still be if it was closer. I do find it to be a very difficult course. It's definitely a lefty's course unless you can master the draw. Narrow fairways and tough greens with lots of undulations. As much as I love this course, I never felt good enough to play it and went from a 12 handicap to an 18. That said, beautiful vistas, pretty forest with no houses, great staff and clubhouse.
Great Course
Well designed. Challenging but not crazy. Very scenic.
Lives up to it's name
North Granite Ridge is a challenging and stunning layout with many extreme elevations and accompanying views, granite outcroppings and deer encounters.
A must play in Muskoka and definitely worth the price of admission !
Pass on this course
They bookway to many groups tightly together at one point there way 4 groups waiting to play on one hole. It wasn't from anyone playing to slow either . They also have clocks with a sign saying that you should play at a specific pace .
It's not the players faults it's the stupid golf course booking people to tightly.
Second the price at this course is way over priced for comparable courses in the area.
Amazing views
Played 18 holes in 3hr45min fantastic views from many of the holes the course was in great shape greens were well maintained
Thank you for leaving such a lovely review! We're glad that you had a great time with us and we hope to see you again soon!
Typical Muskoka Course
An attractive course, well maintained and challenging enough. Nothing unique about the conditions, layout or amenities though.
The topography is typical of some northern Ontario courses with dramatic undulations and elevated tee boxes.
Would play again but not looking into it anytime soon.
We appreciate the feedback, David. We hope you'll play again in the future.
Cottage country gem
Worth trying if you love great scenery, changes in elevation, and ARE STRAIGHT OFF THE TEE. Not for those who hook or slice, but for everyone else, a real treat to play.
Thank you for the excellent review, hobbyjumper! We love hearing from our golfers so keep them coming!
Ngr
Good. Little slow. No marshal
Thank you for the feedback!
Muskoka Gem
Greens are great, course lay-out is really nice with scenic vistas. Course is not long and you really don't need a driver too often. However, you better be accurate as many fairways are tight. Great course will play it again soon.
Thank you for the great review! You provide great advice and we hope you play here again soon!
Twilight Gem
It was a Saturday afternoon, approaching the magically "twilight" hour when I finished up what I was doing and logged onto GolfNow to see what courses were in the area. I had heard of the obvious Deerhurst, Taboo, etc in the Huntsville & Bracebridge area but had not put North Granite Ridge on my radar. At $50 for 18 holes and a cart plus another $4 for my bucket of balls it was not the greatest twilight value but my given my experience I would have paid double that. The last golfers out were at 3:00pm and my time was 3:45pm. I pegged up a ball on the first tee and never saw another sole the entire round. The course is beautiful as it winds through trees and granite giving you the true Canadian North feeling of golfing in Muskoka. At each hole sits 2 Muskoka chairs were you can sit and ponder the next tee ball.
The bottom line, this is a hidden gem and a great value for money given the experience. I will be back for sure!
Thank you so much for taking the time to leave such an excellent review! We're thrilled to hear that you enjoyed your time with us and we look forward to seeing you again soon!

Placement golf
Very scenic course.
Positioning is a must if you want to score
Bring a full set of clubs as all can be used
Each hole has its own challenges
A great deal for the amount paid
Will definitely be returning
Thanks for the five star review! We are very pleased to hear that you enjoyed your round. We look forward to seeing you again soon for your next round.
Muskoka Gem
Don't be hung up on the fact that the course is "only Par 70." It is a great test of golf, with everything you'd expect from a Muskoka property, including a few black flies. The course was not busy the day I played so I enjoyed the vistas while relaxing in the signature chairs provided at most tees. Rivals Grandview at a fraction of the price.
Thanks for the review! We are very happy to hear that you enjoyed your round. We hope to see you back again soon.
such a pretty course
Even tho this course is a bit shorter with only 2 par 5's, it still presents a challenge with lots of sand, hilly terrain & rocks. Each hole is very pretty and unique. It was a great day. We will return.
Thanks for the review! We are pleased to know that you enjoyed our course layout and conditions. We hope to see you again soon for your next round.
What a Birthday present !
I was taken here for my Birthday , and it was great . The girl at the carts was friendly , along with the young lad in the Pro shop . The starter was great to talk to . (as we were early for our teeoff.) The course was also in great shape .
Thanks for the five star review! We are very happy to hear that you enjoyed our course as well as our staff. We hope to see you again soon for your next round!
Beautiful course cut out of the woods
What a great course to golf!! Challenging and picturesque. Played late in the fall so the greens were punched and top dressed, but it is easy to tell this course is kept well.
I played this course a couple times this week and, even so late in the season, they changed the tee and pin placements.
Take your camera, as many holes are extremely elevated at the tips, and the natural rock formations are incredible.
Check out the virtual tour on their website...gorgeous!!
Thank you for the 5 star review! We're so glad you enjoyed your time at the course and all the scenic views, we hope to see you again next season!
Good value
Have played this course many times. It is a little pricey (golf now had better deals last year and year before) however for once a year it is good value. A little cheaper may spur more rounds. Still enjoy the course though.
Thank you for your review of the course! We're glad you find it enjoyable and please keep in mind we offer great tee time specials on our website!
Good conditions - nice greens
Got paired up with two members which was very helpful. The greens were in nice shape but could be difficult to get the pace right. There was only one person working the pro shop and snack bar. Had to wait 15 minutes to get a drink after 9 which slowed pace down considerably but other than that was a quick moving round.
Sorry to hear things moved a little slow that day! We hope you enjoyed your round and come back again soon!
very good lay-out
It was very good design for better golfers. Bunkers are superb. Greens are quite slow but anything else good.
Thank you for your review of the course! We're glad you enjoyed the overall design and hope you come back again soon!
Fun time
Hard to believe that this course was built in 1999. Very mature. Excellent greens. Requires straight drives but the rough is not totally unfriendly to balls. Could use some cleaning up in the rough. Balls off the fairway are frequently lost.
Thanks for your review about the course! We're glad you enjoyed the greens and overall experience, hope to see you again soon!
