North Granite Ridge Golf Club
About
North Granite Ridge Golf Club spans 320 acres of beautiful woodlands in the heart of Muskoka. The layout plays through large boulders and towering trees across dramatic elevation changes provided by granite ridges, hence the name. The greens are undulating and the fairways are quite narrow, demanding both accuracy and skillful course management. It is home to the longest par 5 in Muskoka at 622 yards from the back tees. The challenges of the golf course are complemented by panoramic views that stretch deep into the forest, providing some scenic respite. Opened in 1999, North Granite Ridge Golf Club is fairly new but it has quickly become one of the area's must-play golf courses.

Dynamite Track
Hadn't been here since it was a 9 hole layout. Was real good then and is super now. Picturesque, great shape, demanding, (very tricky greens) courteous staff and easy to get to.
Overall good dollar value +.
One of my favorites in Muskoka.
I golf in Muskoka for a week in Sept every year because there's no golf like Muskoka golf. I play this course every year . I love this course. The tee blocks lets you decide how hard your round is going to be. Less 30mns south Huntsville just off of Hwy. 11 make it so easy to get to. The staff there is very friendly right from the bag drop to the pro shop. The course is deep in the forest so there's all kinds of wildlife if you come on the right day but no bears! For the green fee here, the best value for your money in Muskoka. Lots of beautiful landscape, not on the water, but the greens and fairways are in great shape.
Always in good condition, challenging and good value.
One of the best courses in Muskoka for course design, value and condition. A challenging course in that the rough is going to cost you some strokes in either penalties or having to get back into the fairway. Facilities and staff are great and certainly add to the overall value. One of my regular plays each and every year.
Simply superb for the money!
Quiet and peaceful play in the cottage country! Excellent and tricky greens. Fairways and bunkers are better than expected. A few deers accompanied us to release the stress. Worth the drive !
KEEPS GETTING BETTER
I HAVE GOLFED HERE SINCE IT OPENED AND EVERY YEAR IT GETS BETTER
Great Mukoka views, well maintained- very friendly staff
great course with lots of challenges, great views and depending on the tee blocks selected - a good challenge for any golfer.
Our round was spoiled by a very slow foursome two groups ahead of us- with no idea of maintaining a pace of play. the front 9 was quick and a great track; however after waiting 20 minutes at the 10 tee (the slow group was half way done the fairway when we got to the tee), it took close to 3 hours for the back nine frustrating both the group ahead of us and causing our group to lose any rhythm. By the 17th - a par 3 there were 5 groups waiting to tee off (we were 2nd). NEVER say a marshal, and the groups before and after us were very unhappy with the pace, as there were several open holes ahead of the slow foursome. We will definitely play this course again, but have a cell available to call the clubhouse if there is a repeat performance!!
Superb beauty and value
North Granite Ridge boasts amazing scenic views and natural beauty you would expect from a course in Muskoka. Most every hole is expertly carved out of the rocky terrain. Many elevated tee shots offer a chance to take it all in. The course was in mint condition, especially the greens. At $75 the value is unmatched for Muskoka. I would highly recommend playing it and will definitely go back.
Prudence is rewarded if your ball finds the fairway consistently.
The course does not require a long ball as there are only two Par 5's and maybe one or two 4's near 400yds. I used my driver once and did not par that hole. Many holes are narrow and as stated, shots in the fairway will be rewarded.
The greens fooled me consistently as there appeared to be breaks where there were none and vice versa. Green speed was consistent and it was brisk.
Our twosome followed a foursome of Lost-in-the-woods, big hitting, young men. Even so we finished in 4:05. (Could have been 30 minutes less at least)
All in all, good day; good round and I will recommend this course.
What a bargain!
We have played many of the big Muskoka courses and find North Granite Ridge to be equally challenging and scenic. The new clubhouse is friendly and great positioning from the 18th tee. We will look to play here many more times in the future.
Decent course in the Muskokas; amazing scenery, slowish pace and greens
Didn't book it through Golfnow when I played; paid their $40.00 taxes in twilight walking rate instead.
Played on a busy gorgeous Saturday afternoon so three hours later after my tee time, I had only finished the front 9. :-(
I probably wasn't lucky because apparently, a fairly large group of people who hadn't golfed before were celebrating a birthday hence the slow pace, which the marshal couldn't really do anything about except inform the groups behind them.
But other than that, I thought the views were amazing, conditions were pretty good (between "maintained" and "pristine", I'd say) and would definitely recommend this course to others but not to beginners; course is pretty tough - somewhat narrow with lots of slopes/elevations!
Also should note; I did find the greens to be more on the slower side to add to the difficulty but ah well!
Great shape and beautiful day!!
First time here and was pleasantly surprised at how good shape it was in. Greens a bit slow.
Course was in excellant condition..too bad my game wasn't

Real challenge
Leave driver in bag and bring bug spray. Great variety of holes.
Best course in Muskokas!
OK, I haven't played them all - but I prefer this course to nearby more upscale bretheren Deerhurst and Grandview.
I am not a fan of Muskoka golf, but this course limits the elevation changes, blind shots and forced carries over swamps and other gimmicks most courses around these parts like to employ. Overall each hole is unique and plays to itself - with very few holes where you can even see another one. Overall the layout is more like something you might find in the Carolinas rather than the middle of the rugged Canadian shield.
Great course. Lots of variety.
Tee-off on granite rock faces and enjoy Muskoka's beautiful landscape. The deer don't even seem to mind that we're invading their territory. Great course for all levels of ability.
Best kept secret in Muskoka.
This is the best bang for the buck Muskoka. The fees may seem high but it will soon become evident that they're worth every cent.
will do it again ASAP
great experience from the bag drop to #18. Got a good hot deal, was a single. Course was in really good shape for mid May. Very enjoyable - going back today!!
stay away
Had a good day until the 17th tee!
Owner was very disrespectful.
Will never be back!
Muskoka scenic golf!
An enjoyable course with very good visuals. In good shape for mid-May in Muskoka.. greens a little bumpy and slow but understandable this early. Some tight fairways.
