Richmond Centennial Golf Club

About
Situated just 15 minutes from Ottawa's west end, Richmond Centennial Golf Club is routed through mature woodlands, making it an especially scenic course to visit in the fall. The par-67 course is gentle enough for beginners and juniors, which makes it a great option for families. The golf course originally opened with only one nine in 1967. The front nine has remained largely unaltered over the years, but the back nine that was added later enhanced the course with several challenging elements. The contrast between the player-friendly front nine and the tougher back nine make for an interesting round. Richmond Centennial Golf Club is mostly flat though you will come across a few subtle but tricky slopes. There are also a few water hazards and strategically placed sand traps to watch out for.

Super friendly owner. Good pace of play in the morning. A bit buggy on the back 9 so bring some spray, other than that super well maintained teeboxes and greens.
Great family run course
This course is great for beginners. Relaxed pace. The staff are awesome and it is great value for your money. Love it here.
Great course for beginners.
I took my 7 and 11 year old kids for their first round of 9 holes and they had a great time. I found staff was friendly and course was in decent shape. Greens could have been trimmed a bit, they were slow but a good speed for the kids. I had them play their own balls but after two strokes I had them pick them up to shoot from my ball, it helped with keeping up with the pace. This course is perfect for novice golfers that are just getting started. It’s a short track and nice for walking with young ones. Bring some bug spray, you’ll need it. I would highly recommend this to friends and family. The only reason I didn’t give it a 5 star is because not to be miss leading on what to expect.
Greens are pure but layout is horrifying!
I’ve played here a few times but cannot get over the suicide fairways where you walk down parallel to tee shots coming at you. There is a par 3 with an uncovered tee box 12 steps to the left. People tee off, miss the green, abs roll it to your feet as you are making your tee shot. It is ridiculous and very unsafe. I suppose if you can’t hit a straight ball, this might be a great course because you can just hit off the other fairway right beside another patron going in the other direction! The fairways are rolling so there’s some challenging lies but the greens are excellent. I’d say most greens are smaller than other courses but they ran pure.
This was my second time coming back because the cost is good, $25 taxes in on Sunday morning. Apart from value and open tee times, this is not a course to put on your list.
Nice golf course
Nice golf course. Well maintained. Staff is friendly. Had a great time.
Inexpensive, but slightly below average
The course layout is okay, and they’re trying to improve it, but this looks like a shoestring operation. The clubhouse is pretty awful, the service inconsistent. At $39 for 18 including a power cart, you get what you pay for.
Wallys First Game this Year
The greens were in great shape. Some of the fairways were in need of attention although it is recognized that several areas are close to the bedrock.
Awesome conditions
The conditions were perfect today! Best I’ve ever seen since I started playing here.
Nice country course!
Beautiful little country course. Not long, but the holes are interesting. Very friendly owners, and everyone on the course was happy and interactive.
We played right until sundown - you’ll need bug spray on the back 9!
Way better than I thought it would be
Front 9 let’s you warm up for a challenging back nine. Very well maintained and not too difficult to walk. I’m definitely going back.
