Richmond Centennial Golf Club
About
Situated just 15 minutes from Ottawa's west end, Richmond Centennial Golf Club is routed through mature woodlands, making it an especially scenic course to visit in the fall. The par-67 course is gentle enough for beginners and juniors, which makes it a great option for families. The golf course originally opened with only one nine in 1967. The front nine has remained largely unaltered over the years, but the back nine that was added later enhanced the course with several challenging elements. The contrast between the player-friendly front nine and the tougher back nine make for an interesting round. Richmond Centennial Golf Club is mostly flat though you will come across a few subtle but tricky slopes. There are also a few water hazards and strategically placed sand traps to watch out for.

Absolute goat track
No hot dogs at club house and was almost hit by a ball like 15 times. Probably won't go here again.
Great day at Richmond Centennial
Very nice course, front 9 is nice. Back 9 is more challenging. Enjoyed.
Decent when you can get a deal
Management needs some help, it seems. Very few staff (if any) outside of the owners and there’s often a group of people waiting to play as the pace of play can be atrocious. There are often not enough carts to go around. The course layout of the front 9 is also awful, with backtracking across other fairways and tee boxes beside greens common. Gets better on the back.
But, the course is in a decent shape at least. The greens are a little slow but very few areas weren’t green or dry. Staff is also very friendly, they just need to do some hiring.
Decent course
Richmond Centennial is a nice course with wide fairways. There are lots of trees but they were forgiving in terms of balls bouncing out and finding open areas. There are a few water and sand hazards. The greens were in excellent shape. The fairways are very bumpy. As others have noted, some holes have a bit of a distance between them. It is not typical but wasn't a big deal for 3 walkers and 1 rider. The scorecard map is very detailed and easy to follow.
Note that GolfNow charged me the club rate and added their convenience fee on top of it. From now on I will do my homework and not assume they are offering a discounted rate.
Needs aork
Better alternatives out there for the price. Has potential but needs work. This should be in the $15-$20 for 18 range until they fix their fairways (they are hard as a rock).
Good beginner course
Price was good. Fairways were beaten up pretty bad. Greens were decent. Was a hot day so wanted to rent power carts but said was none available but there were 5 in back of club house where I had to take pull cart. Shot my best round ever so pretty happy lol.
Disappointed
The course has two very different nines, we booked to play 9 hoping to play front nine but it was ladies night which should be advertised, as if I knew that I world never have booked.
When informed of the back nine the gentleman on course organizing ladies night seem to find it funny.
The back nice is horrible, full of bugs and basically just iron shots.
Due to this guys attitude won't be booking again.
