Played twilight at 5:10. It was 8:50 and we were kicked off the course at hole 17 because sunset was at 8:51. Marshall said it was due to safety and for liability reasons they could not let us play. No mention of this anywhere on the website and there was at least 30 mins of daylight left for us to finish the last 2 holes of our round. Majorly upsetting. Would not recommend coming here, especially if booking early twilight.
Had a very good Experience, one thing the group in front of us were slow and I am not happy with the course change back nine to front nine reversed. Not sure why they did it.
Very slow pace of play
Had to wait on every single hole as there were 3 groups ahead that were slow. Took 5 1/2 hours to play.
Worst round
So I paid for 2 carts and 1 died on the course. I was informed that there was a power failure and they knowingly provided me a cart that was at half power.
On top of that the course does nothing to deter Canadian Geese and the greens are littered with their droppings causing a major unsanitary environment. There were multiple greens where I had to pick my ball. I have never been so disgusted golfing. Golf is meant to be a relaxing pastime and instead I’m paying for a useless cart and flying rodent droppings on multiple greens!
over priced for golf cart
great starter pro shop staff not so good other staff great golf cart rental 50 for two people over priced
Can be better
Overall speaking, the course was well maintained with good fairways n greens condition. Bunkers were well kept as well. If the roughs can be cut shorter, the pace can be much better as it made it easier n faster to locate the balls thus improving pace. Many golf courses are doing that as most players are amateurs and a more user friendly course will be more enjoyable. Check in was quick n easy with very friendly n polite staff. Beverage cart was always available which was important in this hot weather. A good course to enjoy.
🏌️♂️ Review: Bloomington Golf Club – A Hidden Gem That’ll Test Your Brain, Not Just Your Biceps 🌳⛳️
So here’s the scoop: we rolled up to Bloomington Golf Club in Richmond Hill thinking it’d be just another casual round. Boy, were we wrong—in the best way possible.
We teed off around 10:20am with a nice breeze, blue skies, and just one ball between us (yup, we were a single). In front of us? A trio. Behind us? Another three. Sandwich’d like a lonely golf ball in a six-pack. But somehow—miraculously—the pace was buttery smooth. Like a well-oiled backswing. No waiting. No pressure. Just golf heaven.
Now let’s talk about the course. This place is gorgeous. Towering, majestic trees everywhere like nature’s version of Augusta. It’s peaceful, serene, and yet still just a hop off Highway 404. So basically, it’s the kind of place you can sneak off to without your boss—or your in-laws—ever knowing.
The greens? Dead honest. What you see is what you get. Roll it right, and it drops. Roll it wrong, and well… that’s on you, pal.
But don’t let the short yardage fool you—this course is sneaky. Like, “you-better-think-three-shots-ahead” sneaky. Course management is everything. Pull the wrong club, and you’ll be shaking your head while your ball takes a mini vacation in the woods. I played smart, used my noggin, and ended up shooting a sweet 83. (Not my all-time best, but hey—I’ll take it!)
The par 5s? Very gettable. Most are driver + 7-iron or less. Some holes set you up for a sandwich approach, and if you’re dialed in, it’s a field day for your short game. Great place to sharpen those wedges and boost your confidence off the tee.
All in all, Bloomington is that friend who looks quiet and chill but secretly crushes it at trivia night. Not the longest course, not the loudest, but it’ll make you think, test your skills, and reward good play.
Would I go back? Oh absolutely. I’m already plotting my rematch with the back nine.
!
A remarkable experience
Our group took more than 5 hours for this course because the group in the front of ours was crazy. They may take more than 10 strokes for one hole. We told the marshals, didn't work well. The move is still slow. Some disappointed for this course. Can't understand why they don't care the people are waiting for them.

Enjoyed the course play! Staff were friendly. Price point was perfect 18hole round
5 hour round
The course could use marshals that are are not in their early 20's. Driving around but not doing anything about the pace of play? Not useful.
The selfish 2 foursomes in front of us decided to play as an 8-some on 18. That resulted in a 15 minute wait for us and backed up the entire course even more thatn it had been.
Great job. NOT.
