Golfer Reviews
Bloomington downs
Although I like the course for a quick last minute round; for the money there are several other options with better layout, and marshalling (Bloomington is not a well marshalled from a pace of play perspective given the cost.)
6+ Hours to finish a round
There were 3-4 groups on each hole. No marshal to sort out the issue. A call to the pro shop was met with indifference.
Otherwise a decent course. But we are unlikely to play here again.
Farmers Field
Anyone who rates this course a 5 is an amateur.
Overpriced for a meadow!
Flat greens on basically every hole, huge fairways,no value for the price.
Staff are rude!
They act like you're playing Lionhead!
The course is owned by Miller disposal and paving!
Have you ever made a complaint at a Miller run facility?
They tell you to GF Yourself!
Buyer beware! You would be better playing at Westview, just down the street
I have played this course at least 500 times and after the last time, it's my last!
The only way they could improve the value is to cut the greensfees in half, otherwise don't bother!
You have been warned!
Bloomington downs
Course was in rough shape due to rain from day/night before, many holes were water logged. Staff was friendly and helpful.
Good course for the value
Course was in good condition given the time of year. Greens were pristine.
Quite good for beginning of season
The course condition is acceptable for the beginning of the season. Still pretty wet and power cart on car path only. Overall, the fairways and greens are good and bunkers are also playable. Pace was slow as many players out in the field.
Marshall is horrible
Honestly, not that bad of a course, but the Marshall here is miserable. My group was scolded for coming into the club house before the 10th hole to fill our water bottles. We were at least a hole ahead of the group behind us. This was in addition to being followed by the Marshall for the first 3-4 holes being told what we can and can’t do, where can and can’t drive after every hole. Super super unfriendly guy. Will never play here again because of the staff
Best bang for the buck in the area
Everything was great except the pace of play.
Marshall could have told the slow groups to catch up.
But all in all, it's a nice and well maintained course with reasonable fee.
