Greens at Renton - Green Nine
About
The Greens at Renton, located in the southwestern community of Simcoe, offers three nine-hole courses that are played in three different 18-hole combinations. Although the nines are nearly identical in ratings and yardages, nine new lakes were strategically added when expanding the original 18 holes at the club and many of the existing holes were redesigned to increase the level of challenge. The Green Course is flat, making it enjoyable to walk. Some of the fairways are narrow and there are trees throughout. There is also the occasional sand trap. The Greens at Renton is also home to a well equipped practice facility that features an expansive driving range, practice bunkers, and a chipping green.

Only the price was good
The deal was good but they had a tournament so we had to play the same nine twice and there were no power carts available either. They shouldn't have tee times available if they don't have all the amenities.
Was one of the best conversions from 18 to 27 holes.
With all the great weather we have had, the course was burned out, hard, dry and lacked attention. The pro shop staff needs a personality check. Scrutinized my confirmation printout, never told me which nines we were playing, I had to go back in to get a score card and find out which nines we were playing because there wasn't a starter at 10 a.m. on a Sunday. Very unprofessional. Maybe that's why the course was empty. I use to enjoy playing here, but my last two visits have convinced me to never go back.
Great Day.
Real nice course with great staff. About a 45 minute drive from Hamilton.
Booked a foresome hot deal for 12 bucks a golfer which I thought was too good to be true. Had a real good day and will definitely play again.
The course was in great condition
Enjoyed the course, pace of play was great. Enough of a challenge for the average player. Staff are very friendly and we had a great breakfast at the clubhouse.
Excellent semi private course.
One of the nicest courses in the area with very friendly staff and a magnificent clubhouse. Most holes are interesting and often challenging, even though not particularly lengthy. Sand traps and water are well placed and greens generally fast and in good condition.
Great course, always fun to play.
Course was in good condition although most of the greens were a bit hard and difficult to hold.
Great course, friendly staff,
This 27 hole course offered 3 diverse layouts. Maintained in average condition on the fairways and good condition on the greens, Very enjoyable course to play for all levels of golfers.
Well maintained and friendly staff
Not the longest course but very enjoyable to play. The greens were interesting and fast. Lots of elevation changes and some neat wildlife. The fairways were generous to a hacker like me. I would definitely go back and play again.
Great course
Great course. Very nicely laid out no two holes the same.
I have played it many times before and I will play it again . The greens have enough ups and downs to make it very interesting to play. The fairways were narrow on some holes but generally wide enough for all players.
only one nine avasilable due to a tournament
Generally I like this course and booked it knowing what it is like. Unfortunately, when we got there a tournament taking up 2 of the 3 nines was in progress. We had to play the same nine twice, not a bad thing, but when you go out expecting to play 18 holes of golf you don't expect to play the same nine twice. They must have known about the tournament and some mention should have been made to this at the time of booking.
Great Course
Course was in great condition and the staff was very friendly and accomodating. We like the rolling terrain and the variety of some links style holes and some tradditionaly holes with tree lined fairways.
I like this course and usually play it a couple of times a year
There are an assortmend of holes and there is a different tempo to play to each. It keeps you thinking of the next shot. The greens are different sizes.
well maintained
very friendly starter and beer cart girl. oh ya and the course was great
Nice Course for the Money
We walked the course carrying our bags and it was sufficiently hilly to give us a good work out. The layout is good - several adequately (annoyingly?) positioned ponds, streams and sand traps along with tree-lined fairways make it sufficiently challenging. The fairways are surprisingly wide considering it is 27 holes redesigned over the old 18. It's a bit distracting on some holes with the tee boxes close together and we had to pay more attention to the correct tee box, but the signage is good and the starter alerted us before we started. Pace was not an issue as we played on a chilly day on the long weekend and had the course nearly to ourselves. The staff (proshop and starter) were friendly and organized. This course is great value for the money. I will definitely play the Greens at Renton again.
Very nice course
This course is in great condition and the staff were incredibly helpful and friendly! Dispite the long drive about 65km from our house we will be returning. Really enjoyed the round!
Excellent shape for this time of year (late nov)
Always wanted to try this course and am I glad i finally did. I highly recommend it to anyone. I will be returning next year 100%. most likely several times.
The course has trees, traps and water.
The course was in great shape for Nov.21. Leaves had been cleared away and the greens were in good shape. It was nice that the weather was also great for this time of year.
good value
A good layout with a couple of interesting holes.
Greens were suprisingly quick and in good conditon for November golf.
Very helpful staff, fun course with lots of variety on the 3 nines.
Enjoyed the cold day. Course in very good shape for mid-November. Very reasonably priced. Very helpful staff. Worth the drive.
