Busy but pretty good
Busiest day ever golfing this summer. Monday of long weekend. Waited every hole but finished in 5 hours. Golfed with great folks. Fairways and greens pretty fast. Good value!
Rolling Hills Challenge is a fun course. The average golfer can practice certain shots on certain holes and improve one's game. For instance the 6 par 3's are from around 100 to 170 yards. This year, due to the moist weather, the fairways are in excellent shape.
Course is forgiving
The golf cart we had was more difficult to drive than it should have been. We had to play with the gas pedal throughout the round. Suggest they go to electric.
Perfect Round Of Golf
The weather was suppose to be questionable and turned out absolutely perfect.
The course was well kept and the staff could not have been more pleasant and helpful.
The pace of play was excellent.
There was a begineer in our group so the course was the appropriate level of difficulty for that person as well as offering a challenge for the experienced golfers.
Overall just a fantastic day.

Course Should Not Have Been Opened
It's been raining like crazy lately - and rained a few hours before tee-off, but there is no excuse for taking people's money (even when it's a great GolfNow deal!) when there are huge puddles on nearly every fairway, when a couple of greens are water-logged, when each and every bunker is filled with water. And I mean filled - a ball landing in one of them was impossible to see in the foot deep water.
And the fairways were so soaked that in many, many places it was a struggle to push a cart through them.
A deal is a deal, but I bailed after 13 holes. It was that unpleasant an experience.
(And fyi - there's not a single hill on the course)
On a clear day, this would be a decent beginner's track, but really, there is no excuse for taking people's money when the course is in such pathetic shape.
Don't waste your time, you can find much better value for your money elsewhere.....
Bought a GolfNow coupon for the Challenge course based on recent reviews....boy, was I ever wrong. I can't believe this was a former Clublink course. Today the course is in terrible shape, bald tee boxes, terrible fairways with little or no grass, greens are just playable. The course layout is like a magicians maze, greens next to each other adds to the confusion.
Carts provided were air cleaned ;) at best. This is a golf course, but all restaurant fare is designed for sit down meals...nothing quick you can grab for a quick pre-game bite or take with you.....
Pro shop and course staff are friendly and helpful. Five stars to them.
I am not sure how other reviewers give this course 4 stars...
Overall, I give this course a fail...there are many other courses for much less money in this area that are much better maintained and equipped.
Great pace and conditions
Played the Challenge course for this first time this season and was pleasantly surprised in several ways. Being a Saturday I assumed it would be a long round as it's usually quite busy, however my round only took 3.5 hours. The course was also in great shape for the most part, in particular the greens. Most of the bunkers were wet and muddy (not unexpected based on all the rain as of late), and the tee boxes were a little mangy. Overall a great round though.
