Mosquito problem
I played from the blue tees, and on some holes the tee deck is surrounded by trees. I ended up with quite a few mosquito bites, even though I was wearing insect repellent.
The course is getting better
I have been playing this course for many years. In the recent years, the conditions have changed for better. Improvements here and there, the staff was friendly and helpful. I would definitely play again.
Great value for a fun course
With golf is so expensive these days, I’m always pleased with a well maintained fun course and don’t charge a insane amount to play!
Sunday golf
Nice course to play with my husband. We are glad that we took a cart. Also, I can sense that in a few weeks, because of the standing water and swampy area, bugs may be an issue. But we will try to play again.
Joke of a course
Groups of 5 on course, both groups in front of us never played golf in their life. Marshall would bug us to keep pace when my group was all scratch golfers. Marshall didn’t care joke of a course don’t go.
Good course to enjoy
The course is well maintained and both the fairways and greens are in good condition. Roughs were cut short and locate the balls was easier thus speeding up play. Pace was so so but acceptable. Check in was quick with very friendly n polite staff. Overall a good course to enjoy.
Frost delay 2 hours was a bit of a drag. Pace slow for first half of round. Overall good.
Major delay and wet, windy and cool.
When I got to the course there was a 1.5 hour delay due to frost. At around the 12th hole, we gave up because of the wet, windy and cool conditions. The chances of rain was around 50-60%, and we certainly hit those chances. And on top of that it got incredibly windy, which was uncalled for. It was expected to be around 20kms/hr. wind speed, but it ended up being more like 50kms/hr. So we ended up being really late and we only played just over a half game for approximately $70 and walking. Incredibly high price for that time of year and having to walk.
Bugs and Moss issues
Formal Complaint – Unacceptable Bug and Moss Issues on the Course
Dear Royal Stouffville Management,
I am writing to express my disappointment regarding the current conditions of the course. During recent rounds, I have noticed that bugs and moss are spread all over the fairways and tee boxes. This issue has made the playing experience extremely unpleasant, distracting, and frankly, quite disgusting.
As a paying customer, I expect the course to be maintained at a level that provides comfort and enjoyment. Unfortunately, the overwhelming presence of bugs and the neglected moss growth detract from both the quality and atmosphere of the course.
I strongly urge management to address these concerns as soon as possible. Proper course maintenance and pest control measures are essential to ensure players can fully enjoy their time at Royal Stouffville.
Thank you for your attention to this matter. I look forward to seeing improvements on the course soon.
