Woodington Lake Golf Club - Legacy Course

I was joined with a threesome at 2nd hole who started 10 minutes earlier than Tee off time. I was told made to share the cart against my wish and that of the other player.

Very slow pace too.

I quit after 9th.

I was refused a raincheck.

Horrible starter and worse staff at the front desk.

Never again

had a great day course in excellent shape, and the pace was quick!

Have played here many times and enjoy the courses. This time was horrible. No marshall at all. Group in front spent 30 minutes on the first hole. Everybody starts somewhere but at $100+ per round, there should be a Marshall to move people along or tell them to pick up their ball. They were clearly learning how to play golf. One fellow in dress shoes and a dress shirt being taught how to hold a club.

Gave up after half an hour and started on the second hole. Round still took over 5 1/2 hours which is not acceptable on a Friday afternoon.

Poor signage and hard to follow layout. Many golfers were lost after 15th hole Par 3.

It's confusing to find 16th as you have to double back else if you follow the cart path you will cross to Legend

All I can say is that the course was in great condition

Awesome to see pave cart paths now. Prior to this I would leave with a dirty dusty golf bag great upgrade. Course was in mint condition, sand was great, greens ran nicely. Divots were well maintained. There was ZERO reason to not enjoy golf on this day everything was perfect. I have played here many times and will be back many more. Bit of a safety concern approaching the bridge at hole one on Legacy it can be very slippery on rainy days even this day when it was totally sunny the cart skidded and slid. May need a few more speed humps there.

Legacy is tricky, not for big beginners thats for sure.

Narrow fairways means you have to be hitting them super straight that day or it gonna be a rough day! Rough is deep and thick be warned.

Forgot to mention in the previous review that the newly paved car paths really is a big improvement to the course. One suggestion is to set up a return to club house sign at the end of the 18th hole. Unless you are very familiar with the course, otherwise one will have to guess which way to go back to the clubhouse.

The Legacy course is very well maintained and the fairways n greens are in very good condition. Greens have lots of contours and are not easy to putt. Fairways are widely open but if you get into the rough, it is not that easy to locate your balls. Have to extend our thanks to the Marshall as he managed the pace very good. The slow foursome in front of us let us pass through with Marshall’s help. So our foursome can manage to finish in around four hours. The beverage cart is always around which is a plus. Check in was also quick and the starter n staff all very polite n friendly. The course is a bit far away from the city but will play again.

It was a good course in great shape. The staff in all areas were awesome. The pace of play was really slow and the tee times could be spaced out a bit more. The price was great with the cart included. I'd go back again.

Very good course on an extremely difficult day. Wind was blowing very strong for the whole round. The one Par 3 from the blue tees was 201 yards into a 3 club wind... We moved up to the white tees for that shot which was still 180 yards dead into a 3 club wind...Course was in good condition but was over booked and we didnt get off until 25 mins after our booked tee time.

Playing for the first time this course I was well impressed with the connection of the course, design and layout.

Must be played

3 hours and 10 minutes to play the front nine is unacceptable. Too many foursomes slipped in between regularly scheduled tee off times.
