Course not for walkers
If you like to walk when you play golf like I do then this course is NOT FOR YOU. It's my first time out after several months of winter and found a horrendous distance to walk between 9th hole and first hole on the north. It is designed to force you to rent a power cart and not walk. Not playing the course again.
No value here at any price
1 The south 9 had ladies day going on so we started on the north 9 only to find that there was a foursome on the green, another on the fairway and 3 more foursomes waiting to tee off on this par 4.
Apparently the early players on this 9 were told to replay the north 9 or wait 30-40 minutes for the ladies day to clear through the south 9. They chose to replay the north 9 hence the huge back log.. Two gentlemen who were to p[lay with us left as did the two other foursomes who came up behind us.
2) Tee boxes were uneven and in very poor condition with many bare spots
3) Fairways were a mix of bare spots, ground cover (clover) and grass.
4) Although it was around noon with light drizzle they chose to turn the sprinklers on . What was really annoying is the maintenance guy turning them on did so after waiting for the foursome in front of us to play through then turning them on in front of my wife and I although everyone behind us had quit because of the pace play.
I will never play here again
Great conditions
Looks like with the new renovation and changes it has made an immediate impact. Great conditions and good lay out.
Course conditions.
Extremely annoying that huge sprinklers were on at 10:30am. They were on several holes on the South course, right in the middle of the fairway. Had to hit second shots while trying to dodge the spray, trying not to get soaking wet!
Wonderful course for recreational golfers
The new layout (had not played in a few years) offers all the challenges a recreational player would expect. Great value!
Wonderful Course & Fantastic club house
This was the first time we have ever played at this course. Thanks to golfnow we were able to scoop a deal to play there. What a lovely course the staff were amazing right from the Pro Shop to the Marshal and the club house restaurant was amazing as we ended up having lunch there after playing golf. I would highly recommend this course. We live in Whitby so this was a 20 min drive so close to home. Will definitely be going back to golf here.
Fun challenge
Nice course with well protected greens . Bunkers are numerous and deep . Fairways are average width and an great shape. For some reason my approach watch couldn’t figure out what hole I was on ? Not sure what was the deal with that almost seems like the course has been re numbered.
Hope to go back and play it again. Oh yeah made an eagle on hole the south course hole 6 !
First time playing
My first time playing this course. I found the fairways clean and the greens fast. The staff was friendly and the course challenging but fun. Good value for the money
Very disappointing conditions
I used to play this course frequently but had not been back for several years. It is disappointing to see what has happened to the condition of this course. Fairways were uncut and patchy and the greens ran at very different speeds. Too bad, this used to be a great little course.
Very satisfied with my experience at Foxbridge iGC and Golf Now.
Great Atmosphere
When our beloved Heather Glen closed down last year my buddies and I wanted to find a home base for our Tuesday game. Foxbridge fits the bill. We are all seniors and the length of this course from the whites suits us just fine. Golf north has been upgrading this course and it just seems to keep getting better.
