Golfer Reviews
Tricky greens and tough pin placements
Greens are fast and undulating. Pin placement on some holes makes it near impossible to par the hole despite the short length of the hole.
Awesome value
The condition of Hy Hope is far better than a lot of other courses in the area charging much higher golf rates. From tee to green there was lots of challenge. The only tee that was disappointing was number 18 which was a very uneven surface. Having said that, the greens rolled true, sand traps were a pleasure to hit from. I will be back very soon, a hidden treasure in the Durham region!!
Fun Track
Started off with a great/friendly starter that had lots of tips for us on several holes.
Course in great shape. Only complaint were some of the tee boxes could use a good overhaul.
Bunkers were great. Greens were well maintained.
We will be back.
High value/price
good grass and beautiful site. very valuable course compare to its low price
Snack shack
Course very well maintained and offers challenges for those working on a short game, but please open the snack shack on a hot day by the 10th hole you need something
Good Test for long Irons
Hy-Hope is a fun course. A definite test for mid and long Irons, with lots of elevation changes. The staff was friendly, but you should call ahead to reserve a cart.
One oddity is that they only take cash or debit cards, they do not accept credit cards.
Great test
The course was a fun test. The staff was great. The hole lengths and course layout make for a good test for mid and long irons.
The only oddity is that they only accept cash or debit cards. They do not take credit cards.
