Poor layout on The Grind
First time playing The Grind and will never play again. Poor layout with par 4's you cant pull out the driver on, one par 4 only 270 yrds which slows down the pace of play, lots of blind shots over 'design" hills and up steep slopes and a par 5 that I had to play 4 iron off the tee and 4 iron up a hill/blind shot to be on in two. Thats not a par 5 to me. Personally, not a course for me, so I will never play there again, as you never know what 2 out of the 3 nines you will have to play.
Poor layout on The Grind
The grind was a terrible layout, blind shots everywhere, too short for drivers on par 4's and a par 5 that is a two stroke 4 iron, 4 iron straigh up the hill with another blind shot, just not enjoyable.
Nice course
Tee to green not much to it if you keep it straight.
Approach shots are to uphill green…so club up!!!
Greens are very undulating, it will take a few rounds to adjust to speed and undulation . Played with members, without them you could easily be frustrated with greens.
All in all, nice course somewhat challenging, bring your putting A game!!!
Very well maintained course
The autumn view is very good particularly one is at the high ground. Fairways n greens in good condition but some tee platforms needed maintenance. Several car paths are also very bumpy. Check in was super quick and staff very friendly and polite with smiling faces. Appreciate that very much. Pace a bit slow but acceptable as today is pretty busy with many players. Weather was good so an enjoyable day with the beautiful autumn scenery.
Mill Run Golf
2 out of 3 nine-hole are very interesting. Friendly staff and nice patio for sitting down for a drink and snacks after the game.
Fair value bit condition not great
I got this last minute deal to go back and play a weekend afternoon round, surprised pace was pretty good though course condition is not at par. Did play here a few years back with my buddy /think I was way better, same layout some weird change hole but yardage is friendly so fair. Not so great on green condition, extremely slow and clearly see ball marks all over the place!
Best course east of tor
This is a must play 45 holes of challenge and beauty
