About

Holes 9
Type Public/Municipal
Par 71
Length 5811 yards
Slope 120
Rating 66.5

The small town of Columbus offers a simple little 9-hole course that features tree-lined fairways and water on seven holes, as well as the chance to spot the white-tail deer that frequently roam the course.

The design incorporates a good mixture of holes: some play short, but others are of a more standard length. Three of the par 4s play around 300 yards, and the other two are 341 and 376 yards.

Getting there : From I-10 driving east, take Hwy. 71 north. When you come to 90 AR (Walnut St.), turn left and the course is 1.5 miles away.

Columbus Golf Course

Overall, the course was fine. Later in the day, there was a scramble with 8 players so we had to wait a few holes. Called the clubhouse and the staff was pleasant and said we could just play through or skip/replay holes. We waited 3 holes before we were actually able to play through. Not an excellent course but good for the money in the area. I wouldn't travel over 35 minutes to come play though.

Quirky 9-holer with lots of water

This course is fairly short with water in play on 7 holes. It has two tight 90 degree dogleg right par fours, one of which is bordered by a cemetery on the right ! Fairways and greens are in decent shape but the rough needs some attention - too high in many places.
