About
Rusted Rail Golf Course, located about half hour or so southeast of Dallas, has a new name and a new look. Formerly known as Creekview Golf Course, the facility was purchased in July 2017, then renamed and renovated. Reopened in August 2018, Rusted Rail unveiled what is essentially a new golf course with renovations on its 36 bunkers, new Champion Bermuda greens, a new irrigation system and vastly improved conditions, including new cart paths and restroom facilities. Designed by Dick Phelps in 1995, the course can play from around 5,800 yards to more than 7,200 yards. The layout features mature oaks lining many of the holes with elevated greens and mounding. The course also has a stream running through the middle of it as well as ponds that come into play on about a half dozen holes. Additionally, the clubhouse has been completely remodeled and expanded to around 17,000 square feet.

Solid Course Value
There’s not many other public courses you’ll find that have the value for the price you’ll pay at Rusted Rail Golf Club. The fairways were about as good as you need it. The greens were pretty impressive and consistent. The layout has the right blend of challenge and fairness. The pace of play was surprisingly stellar for weekend play.
Green Greens
The first course I have played that is under $80 and the greens were green and well maintained.
What a surprise
I was surprised how the course was in great shape. The fairway seem to be water or rained on which made play even better. It been a while since I taken a divot. Most courses condition are hard and dry. The layout was somewhat challenging like hole#2. The green where just a bit slow. Not so bad to really complain. The ladies up front at checkin were nice and friendly (Go Girl Power). Overall I was impressed and plan on playing again.
Great for the money
Had fun at this course! Can not beat it for the price!
Greens are fast
Played a fun round on this course. Not too challenging, but enjoyable. The fairways are still in winter condition, but the greens were in great shape and were fast.
Enjoyable round
The course was typically in a dormant state but should be much better in the next 3 weeks. The pace of play was great and the weather could not have been better .... had a great time and very enjoyable round !!!
Great layout and staff!! Only reson course did not receive 5 stars, well its January. If you have not played this course, PUT it on your schedule. Cannot wait to play this layout in April.
Just average
Course conditions were not great which was surprising considering there are mostly positive reviews on the course. We drove an hour to play here expecting great things. Probably wouldn’t return, even in the summer.
Fun Coarse, Excellent Greens
I had a great time at rusted rail golf course. The course was very fair and the greens were in excellent condition for this time of the year.
Nice Layout
Played in 3.5 hours. For this time of year the course is in good shape. Will play this course again.
