About
Rusted Rail Golf Course, located about half hour or so southeast of Dallas, has a new name and a new look. Formerly known as Creekview Golf Course, the facility was purchased in July 2017, then renamed and renovated. Reopened in August 2018, Rusted Rail unveiled what is essentially a new golf course with renovations on its 36 bunkers, new Champion Bermuda greens, a new irrigation system and vastly improved conditions, including new cart paths and restroom facilities. Designed by Dick Phelps in 1995, the course can play from around 5,800 yards to more than 7,200 yards. The layout features mature oaks lining many of the holes with elevated greens and mounding. The course also has a stream running through the middle of it as well as ponds that come into play on about a half dozen holes. Additionally, the clubhouse has been completely remodeled and expanded to around 17,000 square feet.

Great course and good staff
Played the first time yesterday and can’t wait to come a back and play again! Super friendly staff and pace of play was perfect.
Oct 24th Play
The course was in good condition. The pace of play was moving great until two groups were stopping and talking to each other holding up the the rest of the course.
Meh . . .
I had high expectations based on the GN reviews. Everything was great except the peice of land the course is on. Pretty boring and unattractive.Near a loud freeway. Not worth the time to drive there from Collin County. But they work hard to keep the course in great shape!
Nice course but expect slow play
The driving range was closed with no warning online either on GolfNow or on the course website. There were not many players waiting to tee off so I teed off ahead of time given I couldn't use the driving range.
It's a good layout with wide fairways in good condition. The greens were smooth & rolled true. The drinks house is well situated where you pass by it 4 times during your round negating the need for a drinks cart.
The main problem was that there was a group of 6 playing together followed by a group of 5 players & these two groups held up the rest of the field once caught & they made no effort to move any faster (eg play ready golf). What made this worse was that there was a course marshall who saw them, could see the problems these two large groups were causing & did nothing about it. I hope the marshall was a volunteer!
There's nothing worse that will spoil a good round than slow play that could easily be fixed. These 11 players should have gone out in 3 groups not 2 & problem would have been avoided.
