Lots of San Antonio golfers take the short drive to Devine, Texas to play this golf course. Built in 1967, public Devine Golf Course draws players from miles around for its challenging greens and beautiful oak-filled vistas. The golf course is covered with centuries-old majestic oaks that frame lush fairways and multi-tiered greens. Water comes into play on six holes at Devine Golf Course.

First time Devine!
First time there and was impressed. The staff was awesome and even being under renovation the course and club house still had a lot to offer. Will be playing there again solely on the amount of people and the pace of play. We were not rushed nor did we ever run into anyone. Great course!
Beautiful
We've been playing around san antonio trying out new courses and we found this gem. It was perfect, beautiful cut grass, just the right amount of difficulty and the landscape is so pretty way bigger than it looks.
Great value
First time playing at this course. Although the the course still needs some work especially the fairways, the course is a great value. Most of the greens with a couple of exceptions were in great shape. Apparently there was a recent ownership change, and the new owners have made huge improvements to the course. I cannot speak as to how it was before but I would definitely recommend playing there. Although on paper it would seem like an easy course there are so many trees that it is a challenging course.
Greens were in bad condition. Looked diseased that was not under control. Fairways were sandy, didn’t get much roll out of anything. Sandy around the greens as well. First time and probably last. I did hear that someone new purchased but it needs a lot of work

This course has come a long way in a short time. Greens are good.: not perfect compared to let’s say the Palmer, Silver horn etc. the front 9 plays fast and the back 9 slows down just a bit. However the back 9 is open with forgiving lay. It’s worth your time to Golf this course. By the way it’s been 100+ with no rain. They’ve done a great job keeping the fairway and greens just that.. green. Cheers !
Ups and downs on this course! The house's that lined this course were awesome and nice to look at! .... the layout of the course with all the trees was a good challenge BUT..... this course was straight cow pasture, the rough and even fairways weren't maintained, you could pipe a drive off the box down the middle and still end up looking for your ball for 10 mins! Greens were nice and tiered but most felt like you were on the Price Is Right playing Plinko!! Most tee boxes from the blues were VERY uneven and by hole 12 we were ready to call it a day! For the price it's a good course to get loose at but for my son and I.... that was a one and done!
Not in great shape
This course could be amazing if it was taken care of. It’s in really rough shape. The staff is friendly. Bathrooms on the course we really gross. Hopefully, the owners will take care and bring it up to par.

We really enjoyed ourselves. The greens have good speed, wildlife, staff, fairways and course is challenging and holes 2, 10 and 16 made my day. We will return. Thanks
