Horrible staff
Love this course manage to play it everytime I come back east. I will never go back. Such a fun little track but the staff always seems to act as if they are doing you a favor by letting you play there. Even after you've payed for the greens fee. We were sold a mid afternoon tee time which we were then tracked down on our 13th hole by the elderly cart guy who clearly just wanted to go home and yelled at us for being out passed 630. The pro shop happily sold a 330 tee time for full price with no heads up on a time we had to be in by and then yelled at us, their paying customers. I will never play this place again just based off the horrendous customer service they demonstrated. Real shame.
Great course
Nice layout, but tight fairways. Greens are fast still, at least till they aerate. Still wet in some spots but its still early in the season. Driving rage is only 250 yds.
Wonderful course
My friend and I were traveling thru the area and managed to get time for a round. It was early spring, windy and a few sprinkles of rain fell. Other than that the course was in great spring condition and the greens were fast. Staff were amazingly friendly and helpful. I'd go back in a heartbeat!
Fall in New Hampshire
We always try to make it to Breakfast Hill in the fall for the beauty of the surroundings but golf course always is a winner. Huge rocks, great greens and really tight fairways makes it a fun day. Staff is super. Kristen in restaurant does a great job. We love it here and will highly recommend
Sneakiness
The Golfnow app said 18 holes with cart but I arrived and the ranger said that this only for nine holes and that's all we were allowed. The was very sneaky by the course.
Don't miss this course (or the fairways)
I played in a foursome in 4 hours on this very nice course. Two members in the group provided local knowledge and a welcoming attitude for two first time visitors. Even in the throws of a terrible drought the fairways and greens were in excellent condition. I loved the visual appeal of the occasional rock outcropping and enjoyed watching one of my playing partners play a shot from the top of the largest one. I avoided every bunker but they were excellent, too. This was a great day on a wonderful golf course. Don't miss the chance to play on Breakfast Hill.
An enjoyable Sunday round
We got a little delay from the morning storm but the staff did the best to get us out asap. The course was in a great condition. Fairways are narrow at some holes, green is fairly fast given the early rain, each one is a different experience. I would love to see another set of tee in between the maroon and black, it is a large gap.
Bang for the buck!
I love Breakfast Hill.. Always in great shape..staff is friendly and attentive and they keep it moving .. Good stuff!
Pace of Play
I don't write many reviews but compelled to write this one. They started many 4-some of strangers on back 9 @ 1121am. Place was packed so we were somewhat prepared for slow pace. But it took 2.5 hrs. Finally made the turn to hole 1. But they inserted a new 4-some walking in front of us. I made my round of complaints to two rangers and manager. And after the 5hr round I approached the pro. He didn't care. But they were adamant that their policy was to start anyone who had a new tee time no matter that it was cutting in front of anyone making the turn. They made it clear the policy was law and they were unapologetic and too bad for us! Their stiff attitude was what really got us. No apology, no nothing. To us it said they didn't really care about our experience and whether or not we came back. Too bad, because I like the track, I've met the owner and she seems nice and there is usually a Hot Deal.
Too slow
I have played here 3-4 times this summer. It is a very nice layout with conditions very good. The greens are nice and slick and putt true. I really do like the track. However, the pace of play each time has been a little slow. They advertise a 4 hr 19 min round. I have not experienced anything close to that yet. I think the best was just under 5 hours. Yesterday, we walked off after 11 holes. The first nine was 2 hrs and 40 min. The back nine was getting slower. The group in front of us had 2 + holes empty in from of them. So if you don't mind the slow play, go ahead it is a great course.
I did mention to the desk that the pace of play was unacceptable to us and that we walked off. They were anything but sympathetic. Pretty much intimated that there isn't much they can do about it. They indicated we should call in to the desk next time if it was slow, because the ranger has other things to do besides keep up the pace of play. Apparently that is true. Did not see him or her all day.
Challenging layout
I like to play Breakfast Hill when I get the time. The layout of the course is challenging and the condition is always top notch. Pace of play is usually fine but we got behind two walkers and two seniors which slowed us down quite a bit. Usually the Rangers take care of this but today it was slow. But play here if you get the chance, you won't be disappointed.
Hidden Gem
Been playing BHGC for years, never fails to satisfy. Some tough holes, some easy. Challenge yourself and play from the tips.
Sunny Day
Interesting course. Lots of elevation changes. Greens were excellent.
Nice course in NH
My wife and I teed off as a twosome after a warm friendly greeting by the folks in the clubhouse and a very good discussion with the starter/ranger. He warned us to play short of greens as long is not good at Breakfast Hill. The only thing they all forgot to mention was that there was an outing just ahead of us as we discovered on hole three with a big backup. At that point we met and paired up with a member making the slowness more tolerable. He was also a big help on sloping and playing of tee shots and fairways…as well as a nice gentleman.
The course was a challenge being new to it but in great shape and the greens were very fair….the starter’s words of caution in regards to playing short into the greens was very helpful and probably saved many strokes on the score card. We did play half of the round in a slow steady rain but the course held up to it quite nicely and from the 13th on it ended a nice round of golf for us…even though still slow.
Would play this course again if ever in the area but would do so during the weekdays and would ask in advance about outings.
Nick
Good course and tight also can be very challenging based on your choice of tees.
Great Greens
The greens on this course are the best I have ever played on on a public course. I will definitely return and play here again.
Seaview Stay & Play Golf Package
Did you show them your Golfnow receipt that it was for 18 holes and your receipt?
That's weird that they didn't honor that...I will bring my receipt next week in case I have that same problem.
