Poor value, rude customer “service”. Beware of predatory policies. No rental clubs and rule against sharing clubs. Not informed until check in for the round.

The slower pace of play actually helped me think out and better coordinate my shots! The single walking in front of me was a very good golfer and showed great patience with the group ahead of him! He also showed a deliberateness that I tried to copy and it maid my whole round very enjoyable. (I actually shot 6 strokes better than my average for 9 holes!)

The course and conditions are beautiful. The staff is as friendly as could be. We love Breakfast Hill. Only negative, and it's happened almost every time we play there is the "members" think they are the rangers and take it upon themselves to police us guests. We played on a pouring wet day, cart-path only, in 4 hours and 20 minutes. We offered the 2-some behind us to play through twice. They declined both times.......then at the end when I complimented them for sticking it out during the total downpour, they said we played slow and could have played faster. Another time a presumed member yelled across the fairway that there was a hole open in front of us. Wasn't the case at all. It truly ruins the experience. We are not hackers, but rather 12-14 handicaps and are not slow. On the practice area, I often hear the "members" speaking negatively about the guests. Truly ruins all the good that the staff does.

Suggest golf course give out for free simple metal divot tools at counter.

I booked 18 holes with a cart for a 3:30 tee time through Golf Now. Person in the Pro Shop told me that i could only use the cart for 9 holes and walk the back 9. I told this person that i couldn't walk due to an injured foot as the person mentioned that the carts had to be back 4 hours before sunset which totally blew me away.

the kicker... was told by this person that i got a really good deal as a normal paid tee time for nine holes was more than what i paid for 18. I booked this through Golf Now to play 18 with a cart!!!

Golf Now should coordinate this issue with the Club.

Improved course since the last time I played. Surprised that a course this hilly restricted 5 holes for cart path only. Refreshment area needs more staff.

I was on a surf trip to Rye NH and had a few days to play golf. I picked this course based on reviews, awards and proximity to the beach. I played on a Monday and had such an awesome time that I played it again the next day. The pro shop was great, gave me some local tips and a beautiful yardage book. Everyone on the range, mostly locals on a weekday, said good morning and were super friendly. The starter was on top of things and we teed off 10 minutes early. I played with three locals who couldn't have been nicer and gave me all the local tips as we went along. The course was georgeous and in flawless condition. They had aerated 4 days earlier and you wouldn't have known it. It is a very tactical course, I am an 8 handicap and even with the info I shot an 84. There are penalties for not hitting the fairway or for going long on approach, but you can score if you are in the right spots. Pace of play was awesome and we finished in just over 4 hours, I saw the Marshall several times. Shout out to the great design at the turn, there is a small food and beverage counter right inside the door where you don't have to wait for anything which really helps pace of play. I got a beer, hot dog and used the bathroom in under three minutes. You can really tell how a course is cared for by the cartpaths and bunkers, very hard and expensive to maintain. There was not a single bump on the cart paths (brand new electric carts) and the bunkers were perfect. This course is only 20 years old but the land is very mature and has been in the family since the Revolutionary War so it has an old school feel to it. The passion the owners have for the property and course is very apparent. I made notes in my yardage book and was ready to go low the next day. Right away the pro shop wanted to know if I had fun the day before and how I played etc. Everyone on the range saying hi, some coming over to see how my round was the day before. I played with three people from out of town who had a blast. They only played 9 and the starter tried to hook me up with a group for the back but no luck. I played as a single the back 9 behind 4 elderly men walking and still finished the round in a little over 4 hours. I shot 79 knowing what not to do and can't wait to go back next year!!! Two of the best rounds of golf this year and I belong to a private club and play around alot. Also plenty of local breweries and great places to eat close by if you want to make a day of it. We have played this course a few times over the years and it’s always in exceptional shape! My only comment is pace of play was slow as there were several walkers ahead of us and it was cart path only after a storm overnight.

My coworker and I was in the area for a business offsite and wanted to get a round in before we went back to California. Found Breakfast Hill as a top NH public course on golf.com. Did not disappoint. Nice grass range, great breakfast sandwich, well maintained and designed course that made things challenging.

Avoid big distances and hit what you can to keep things in the fairway.

Staff was very friendly as well. We had our travel bags and luggage in tow and they were kind enough to hold them in the staff area for us while we played. A+
