Tour 18 Dallas
About
Tour 18 Dallas is an ingenious compilation of the greatest golf holes in the nation, giving golfers the chance to play replica holes from 16 top courses. This one is tough -- not only because of the challenging and lengthy choice of holes that went into the design -- but especially because of the lightning-fast greens and challenging pin placements. While the conditions are probably accurate in terms of what the pros face each week, it can be quite humbling to shoot 15 strokes over your handicap because of 4- and 5-putts. The most recognizable holes at Tour 18 Dallas are the Augusta National Amen Corner replicas, which make up the final three-hole stretch.

Getting better by the day!
I avoided Tout 18 for a solid 4 years based on a poor past experience and the volume of negative reviews of the course. A buddy convinced me that "it's back" and suggested I try again. Although the golf course isn't let 100% (after all, it's still winter), I can definitely see the progress that's been made and am optimistic the team there can get in back into top shape this spring!
Greens - Overall, consistent and in good shape.
Bunkers - 75/25, several have been repaired and are excellent... but a few major ones are still under repair and are ACTIVELY being worked on. So... give it some time... or just stay out of those traps. LOL
Fairways - Generally good but a few holes that definitely need some TLC, precipitation, and warmer temperatures to come back in.
Pace of Play - Not the best. The course would benefit greatly from adding technology to help manage the pace of play on holes where there are blind tee shots. Had a consistent mix of groups waiting excessively for fairways to clear and/or hitting into us because we couldn't be seen and the carts do not have GPS technology.
Scenery - Lacking... it is still winter, but would hope that everything makes a full rebound in the next 45 - 60 days.
The Starter - This dude is 5 stars all day. Great way to kick up the nostalgia and start play on a positive note.
It does look like the course has slightly reduced the rates to take into account the current course conditions so get out and sneak in a round before the rates go back up.
Nice Course. Good value
For $75 we had the course almost to ourselves. Liked it a lot. Had some condition issues, but greens were good.
Very fun course
Great fun but greens are so tough. I guess it’s why the courses where these hole are from are PGA sanctioned. Lol
Not worth $100
It is a shame they do not maintain this course. It was immaculate when it opened 20 years ago. The bunkers have been under repair for years. There is little to no grass on tee boxes. At least overseed them during the winter. Large areas around greens that are grassless. The staff is friendly and the concept is cool but those two things alone don’t justify the $100 green fee. It’s worth $50-60. Don’t pay more than that unless $ is of no concern or you don’t mind being disappointed.
Tour 18
Fun experience, Bermuda greens in great shape for their dormant status. Some greens are a bit too aggressive with undulations, a bit over done by the designer. Overall enjoyed the experience.
Great Day
Had a great day at Tour 18. Course was in good shape for being Jan. Staff were great.
Much Improved
Been here a few times over the years. Whoever is the new greenskeeper should be given a medal. Greens are outstanding and this is top place for off campus from our “club”. Fairways are a tad thin in some places, but nothing some spring time weather can’t fix. Was also happy to see real maintenance happening on the bunkers. Staff is awesome. We will be back….
Much Improved
The hreens have healed very well since last summer when they were fungicide dominated and nearly unplayable. I was optimistic when i saw how well the dormant bermuda looked and played. This course is a special place but can he so much more with new construction finished bunker projects on a couple of holes coming. The avid golfer will need a rangefinder here.. Golf cart technology is not found here. And not that it needs to be here either. And with the blind shots and elevation at Tour 18 FM, it is an essential tool for approach shots and an overall better score.
Rolling / going downhill
Last time I played here was almost 20yrs ago, (just bc it’s a long trip and out of my groups budget a bit) and the course was in tournament shape had such a good time. And this past Thursday I came here w high hopes and expectations, and was let down in a hurry once I got to the tee. The conditions were not what I remembered and just bland w no overseeding or definition of the layout. That’s why I rated this course the way I did. Those prices and those conditions didn’t match for me or my group. Quick example the greens were so inconsistent it was a guessing game. They tried placing cups / pins in places that if you didn’t ram it in w pace, the ball would come back to your feet or even past you and roll off the green. PuttPutt. But w no clowns mouth to hit in.
Good and great weather
Played the week after Christmas and had great weather for the outing. The greens were in decent shape and rolled well. Some of the fairways and traps weren’t in the best shape. Especially hole 10, the fairway had ruts and dirt showing at about 250 yds. One of the traps (hole 15) hadn’t been groomed in a long time. It was hard pack dirt and large rocks. My cart partner pulled his ball out as not to damage his club. The rest of the course was in pretty good shape.
Great shape for mid December
Took a buddy here who was in town from out of state. Given the time of year (mid December) the course was in good shape. The greens were short and rolling fast, fairways and tee boxes well maintained. I would play where again and bring a guest back. We teed off at 1:30 with 2 others in a foursome and had to skip 15 to finish with enough daylight (sun set at 5:30).
Nice challenge,
Good condition for December, greens in good condition and consistent, we will return again
Amen Corner did it for me.
Great course made up of replica holes from across the country. The course is well maintained and the staff is friendly and informative. We ran in to the marshall a few times on the course and he kindly provided tips and history on the holes we were playing. I wish he could have tagged along all day as our 4th didn't show up!
Rich
Really enjoyed this course. The stories about each hole were very interesting It was fun to play replicas of holes on courses we could never play on. Next best thing !
!
Decent course
First time at Tour 18 . Was visiting out of State , met up with a friend to play. Initial impression with first call to the golf shop was poor , as they would not let me schedule a solo tee time. After I found a friend in that area , booked it on golf now . ( Later while on first tee , marshall stated that solo players are allowed and saw a few tee off before us)
Staff was super at the golf shop and the ladies were very efficient at the restaurant. Lunch took a long time to serve but that was the kitchen. Many staff and cart ladies observed in the restaurant but NONE while golfing 18 holes !! This was on a Thursday with a packed course !!
Some greens were damaged and hard to play . Dead spots on many fairways. Overall a decent experience but not sure if i want to play it anytime soon! Beautiful last three holes from Augusta, imitation.
