Tour 18 Dallas

I have talked about playing Tour 18 for the better part of a decade. Well the talk is over, and short of the amazing staff, there is nothing to rave about. The course was in good or average condition. Many of the greens were average at best.

Short of the unique hole designs which many of them were plain and boring, the course isn’t all that special. Quite honestly, I wish I had saved the money and played other courses in the area.

Sad as I had such huge hopes ans dreams for this course.

Greens had some brown spots and patchy areas. Sand was a little wet with standing water in some areas. Overall the rest of the course was in great shape and made for a really enjoyable round.

Considering the February North Texas frozen tundra we all did not expect…Tour 18 is in much better shape that I expected…only a few greens had choppy issues but they had the holes away from the affected areas as much as possible…the course looked great!

I enjoyed the round of golf and will play again for a chance to succeed.

My brother flew into town to visit and I wanted him to enjoy Tour 18. We had a blast. We were impressed with the overall experience. The staff was very cordial, from the pro shop to the starter to the beverage service all the way to the young man cleaning our clubs at the end. The marshals did a great job keeping everyone on pace without being overbearing. A great skill on a course with so many approach shots over water! A few rough patches here and there on some of the greens, but that’s to be expected after a lot of bad weather. We were still able to sink some long ones. I look forward to playing it again

Some of the greens were in terrible conditions. Fairways on some of the holes were in rough shape too. Towards the last 3 holes, the conditions were better. Hopefully with some time, it’ll get better. All the staff were friendly. No gps in the carts which is a little disappointing , especially for a 90 dollar green fee. With the greens being in rough shape, I felt it was worth 70 and not 90 bucks. I’ll try it again in a year or so , hoping conditions improve. Layout of the course is awesome though.

This course was beautiful and immaculate, even though ,some greens were a little rough but did not effect play or putts.

You pay for the vanity of the idea of playing holes from other courses, that’s about it. The conditions were very poor for the money. Bunkers were all unplayable, mostly mud and I raked, greens bumpy and slow, lots of ground under repair. We had a fun time but I’ve played courses half the price in better condition.

Greens in rough shape with dead spots on at least the first 4 holes. Progressively was better later in the round. No drinking water present, very few garbage cans.

Many of the tee boxes did not have the markers set up- white and reds.

Very strange that this course has no water stations set up along the course. COVID restrictions are gone so why don’t they put out water for the players, especially in the summer heat? It doesn’t look like there were EVER any stations set up.

Also, no ball washers and the only trash cans were at the restroom stops.

All this might make the course look more presentable but it is very inconvenient for the golfers.
