Tour 18 Dallas
About
Tour 18 Dallas is an ingenious compilation of the greatest golf holes in the nation, giving golfers the chance to play replica holes from 16 top courses. This one is tough -- not only because of the challenging and lengthy choice of holes that went into the design -- but especially because of the lightning-fast greens and challenging pin placements. While the conditions are probably accurate in terms of what the pros face each week, it can be quite humbling to shoot 15 strokes over your handicap because of 4- and 5-putts. The most recognizable holes at Tour 18 Dallas are the Augusta National Amen Corner replicas, which make up the final three-hole stretch.

Winter condition, no range balls, EXTREMELY slow play almost 6 hours
Winter conditions overall had a great Saturday in winter in Dallas course maybe a little unprepared for the extreme number players no range balls extremely slow play almost 6 hours didn't even play the last hole do the darkness will I return I'll give a 5 out of a 10 on whether I would return.
Overall not bad, just a long day, staff tried their best
Fun but needs work
Love the course , very challenging. Just needs serious work in most bunkers and greens. Also chipping green and putting green.
Greens better but still FAST
The greens are better than they were a couple months ago but they are still extremely fast.
A good sunday
It was beautiful weather the course is in good shape. Plays very difficult especially the greens. But that is expected since every hole is modeled after a famous hole from several courses. Free driving range is nice!
Enjoyed the day
The course was in good shape and the weather was great. It's a good time to play Tour 18.
Course was in ok condition...some of the greens need some work, and a lot of the bunkers weren’t raked.
Facilities seemed old and run down.
Course layout was good, course was fun to play.
Awesome.
First time playing the course. For this time of year it was in absolutely great shape. Look forward to playing there again.
Tour excelent
Very friendly pro shop personal plus starter really made you feel at home. Course for Nov very nice shape, just a fun place to play.
Below Expectations.
Very disappointed. November 2017.
Range was almost full when I arrived. No staff to refresh balls at the range. Some golfers standing around waiting for balls. The range was a mud pit.
There was no practice putting green. There was a small pitching green that was poorly maintained and littered with carcasses of old balls? Poorly done.
We saw no Marshals on the course. The group ahead of us was incredibly slow. We barely got the round in before dark. 5.5 hours.
Did not have a valet to unload clubs or give us a cart.
The Cart girl drove right up to us while addressing a ball. Did not know to wait til we hit.
Overall. Good potential course. the upkeep is substandard, staff had no interaction with me, and I would not play again.
Over priced
Greens suck, over priced.overall condition of course sucks. Staff was nice though
Fun Course
Enjoyed playing this course! Look forward to playing it more often.
Lots of potential
The course is a great layout but the pace of play was terrible. It’s a shame this facility is not better ran. Lots of potential to be first class.
What’s the hurry?
With no one in front of us and no one behind us the marshal still came by at least 3 times during the round to speed up play. Really did not understand that.
Also the course needs some upkeep. The sand traps are bad, the drainage in the back side of front 9 is bad. The course needs some TLC to bring it back.
Fun, yet challenging course
The staff was very friendly. My wife played with me and we we're able to play as a twosome and we're not rushed the whole day.
Amazing Course but Poorly Kept
I have played this course my entire life, so my review is far from a particular incident. I merely cited the date out of necessity and the average price of a round, but I can't let this course continue with the attitude they have. I have seen this course in pristine condition and it is a 5 star course. I have also seen this course in incredibly awful condition and it is 1 star course considering the consistent price throughout its ups and downs. I also know ownership has changed over the years as well, so this may be a factor.
Overall, the several ups and downs this course has there is still a general linear downward trend. I think the ownership has realized with the economic boom in the area, the sort of "America's Greatest Holes" gimmick sells quite well on paper and from the photos they have taken during its prime. There are constant corporate outings and tournaments to break even and the tee times they manage make a profit.
Regardless, I want to stress I love this course, but ownership needs to step up and improve conditions. The last time I saw the course I noticed how bad the drainage is, fairways are utterly burnt, there are weeds everywhere, the rough is wild and thin and often purely mud, the greens are rarely pressed and even burnt in spots and even the tee boxes can be abysmal. The course design, location, and surrounding neighborhood are FAR too nice to make for such a poorly manicured course. As of late its value is mediocre at best. It is fun to close on Augusta's "Amen Corner", but pointless to try and simulate the experience when it looks worse than a municipal course. I gave the course a 3 star, but in my opinion if it actually played like the holes they portray then it would be a 5 star. In its state I last saw it though, it's a one star course at that price.
Course has improved
I had played Tour 18 twice before this round. The greens and general condition was iffy both times. It was much improved this time. The bunkers were better but still need quite a bit of work. The greens were pretty good. They seemed fairly smooth and rolled at a slightly above average pace. You could actually see the potential that this course has. It still has a ways to go and may never get back to its old glory but it's a lot better than it has been the past couple of years.
Ignore the haters. This is a fun place to play.
First Kenny in the pro shop was great. Told me my booking price was better than he could give. Beautiful course, nice greens and fun to try your hand at layouts similar to what the pros play. The only negative was the sand traps need some work. Still a great day.
Very poor all round
So disappointing to pay this money and play on a sub-municipal. Fun layout (though they have several yardages wrong on the markers) but wow, so poorly maintained. Drainage issues everywhere. Bunkers are pitiful. Greens are just OK. It's a real shame because it could be SO much more. No putting green. Never again.
