Course and greens were incredible today. Would play conditions like this everyday.

Bridlewood has one of the best layouts around DFW. Food options here are top notch. Don’t sleep on the pizza as it’s one of the best around.

As for the golf, $140 for a round was laughable for the current course conditions. Temporary greens on three holes (not mentioned until arrival and fees were paid), and the other remaining 15 greens are maybe the worst I’ve ever seen them. Staff in the pro shop couldn’t care less, and their attitude toward customers showed exactly that. It’s a shame to see as this has always been one of our favorite spots to play.

I haven’t played this course for one year and when I played it yesterday, I was shocked at how the course has gone downhill. Very rough

Everything was good accept the greens. They were so bumpy it was hard to putt. The greens need a lot of work.

Always a good experience at Bridlewood. Greens were in good shape - just a little poa. Fairways are dry and run fast. Lots of dirt areas around cart paths - just lack of rain. Water.

Pace of play was terrible. Don’t double book your tee times. Everything was choked up from hole one onward. Players were not fixing their divots or raking the bunkers after play. Absolutely pitiful day on the course! We will not be back.

I flew in to surprise a friend for his birthday, and this was one of the two courses we were able to play over the weekend.

This course carries a certain level of prestige based on its reputation and pricing, but unfortunately the golf experience itself didn’t live up to the expectations.

The course was already running about 15–20 minutes behind before teeing off, which was never mentioned at check-in. Because of that, we cut our range session short only to sit and wait near the first tee. The one positive was that the delay gave our playing partners time to swap carts—several of the carts were in rough shape, with odd noises and axle issues.

While waiting on the tee box, the starter told us to expect a 4.5-hour round. That turned out to be very optimistic. Our tee time was 10:12, we actually teed off at 10:31, and we didn’t finish until 4:17. It was one of the longest rounds I’ve played in quite some time. The pace issues also created some unsafe situations, with long hitters behind us landing balls at our feet and even over our heads on multiple occasions.

The opening hole was straightforward and enjoyable, but the course conditions became more disappointing as the round went on. We encountered numerous weeds, brown and dead patches, and noticeable damage throughout the fairways and greens. Several greens had weeds and bare spots that made putting unpredictable and frustrating. The tee boxes were especially rough later in the round—on one hole, the weeds were so tall that when I pushed a short tee into the ground, the ball stayed elevated by the grass without even touching the tee.

After the round, we grabbed lunch, which was decent and fairly priced.

Overall, the restaurant was better than the course. Given the conditions, pace of play, and overall experience, this wasn’t something I would consider worth the price or likely to return to.

We had a great time playing Bridlewood. The course was in great shape as were the greens though they were pretty shaggy and slow. In my experience, we played very quickly – less than 4 hours. That is a nice surprise for Bridlewood, especially in the afternoons when rounds can take up to five hours.

Biggest bummer was the fact that while it was 100° outside, there was no car girl. I will say that they did have water station set up and the water jugs were full, so that was great, but it would’ve been nice to have a few cocktails during the round. We will certainly go back and hope for some cart service.

An abundance of water and sun has helped this course to grow into mint condition. So many tree-lined fairways that it was easy to find shade during our round. The staff was very helpful and friendly. GPS on carts with built in marshalling using green-yellow-red flags to guage pace-of-play kept everyone moving on a Sunday. Greens- great. Fairways - good. Bunkers - raked. Study the layout in advance. Some of the holes require some thought to stay out of trouble.

This place is a good overall experience. I have played a lot of golf courses and this one has a nice fair layout. Nice mix of scoreable holes. This particular time, they were finally fixing a lot of things that needed to be tended to. I loved seeing that. Also the pace of play was excellent (it was a Wednesday morning). If I had to pick on something- the greens are always extremely slow. That doesn’t bother everyone. Some people even prefer it.

Bridlewood is a really nice layout. You use to be able to rely on great greens, but they have gotten really bad and they are extremely slow and bumpy. You really notice how bad they have gotten when you head up the road and play Grapevine for half the cost. Grapevine greens are rolled, vericut and roll great. Greens crew is poor spilling oil on the practice green now for the 2nd time in several weeks. Saw this same problem on a fairway where mower was leaking hydraulic fluid or oil. When they do cut the greens, they don’t clean up the green edge with the fringe. Now, unannounced, they are closing holes or turning par 5’s and par 4’s into par 3’s! Why nobody knows as no communication to their golfing community. And the range, if they would have golfers fill divots with sand after, the surface would be much better which would allow them to cut the grass shorter. About 50% of the balls are worn and need to be retired. Not sure what is going on here, but this great course has really taken a turn for the worse. Hopefully, change is coming but you willbe disappointed in the experience particularly when the green fees far exceed the value of playing this course.
