About
Lake Park Golf Club is located below the Lake Lewisville dam, and was originally known as Oak Ridge Park. Make sure you warm up before your round, because no. 1 goes 465 yards with water in play off the tee. The next notable hole is no. 8, which offers a nice risk-reward situation with two small ponds protecting the green 312 yards away. With the wind, it is definitely driveable. On Lake Park Golf Club's back nine, no. 10 gives you the option to carry the lake with a 230-yard-plus drive, or lay up and leave yourself with a long approach over the water.

Great course, but be mindful of other golfers on other holes hitting into your fairway. Great pace of play on a Saturday!!

Simple but fun
Good pace of play (teed off shortly after 7am), straightforward course layout, greens in good condition. Good course for a mid to high handicapper. I'll be adding this course to my playing rotation.

Punch Greens
While I understand greens maintenance needs to happen, it should be stated so that golfers can make an educated decision around if they want to play a round.

Great confidence building course.
Love this track. Very few trees or green side bunkers. Stray shots are usually recoverable. Pace of play on the first five holes is terrible, but it opens up after that. We played in 4.5 hours on a Tuesday morning. Highly recommend if you want to shoot a lower than average score.

I love Lake Park 18!
I think there are some agronomy issues that could be addressed and resolved in a matter of a season if they focused some attention dead areas, mulching pot holes next to cart paths. I have played this course about 8-10 times and it's always challenging and I am learning how to play it better for my score improvement.

Marshal needed
We had a single jump in front of us and hit 4 balls off the tee. We confronted him and told him he needed to follow golf rules. This is not our job, hire a Marshall. Tee time was 3 pm and we finished right at 7

Nice Course, Pace of Play issue
This was my first time playing this course. Tee time 11:45 am on a Friday after an very early morning storm. Teed off on time but pace was slow. It was a 5 hour round. I think part of the issue may have been that some early tee times may have been delayed because of the weather. This delay may have caused a backup for us with later tee times. I will rate this experience a 4 based on this assumption. If this is not the case I would give it a 2 or 3 because of the time it took to complete the round.

Good close course that was affordable and nice
The best fairways and excellent greens. Very beginner friendly
Needs money back into the course
Relatively easy course. Miss your shot to the right or left, play out of the adjacent fairway. The course has lost many trees over the years but ARCIS does not put money back into the course (trees, level tee boxes, improved bunkers, etc.) which is disappointing for the locals.
