Worth a round
First time playing Royal Tara. I ended up playing with a member who spoke very highly of the club and the grounds, and as we went around it was apparent. The fairways and greens were in great condition, even after the torrential rain. Some challenging holes, long par 3s and 4s. The only down side was the leaves, but it is winter. Overall a very nice course, will definitely be back.
Course in excellent condition as always. Stephen in the pro shop very friendly and helpful
I had a very enjoyable game if golf, as always at Royal Tara. Staff are so friendly and helpful. One of my favorite courses.
Top Class Course
It is always a pleasure to play Royal Tara. The staff are the friendliest one could ask for. The course itself is in super condition for the time of year.
Played the yellow and blue 9 holes. Felt the blue was a bit better, but both were enjoyable 9 holes of golf. The course can be a little tight in spots but it is very fair. Errant shots might result in a punch out, but rarely a lost ball. Will be back to try the red 9 soon!
Really nice experience
We played this course in bright sunshine 1st November . Pro shop and restaurant staff were very friendly and helpful . Course was in good condition for the time of year especially the greens
Definitely intend to revisit
Very enjoyable course and very good practice areas. The greens could be better but I have played on a lot worse and paid alot more than I did to play here.Good location and easy access from Dublin.
Friendly service and excellent green conditions for the middle of winter. Beautiful 27 hole course with mature trees, can't wait to play again in summer!
You need to be accurate on this course because there is lots of threes,
There is a couple of par 4 which you need to have a long straight drive to have any chance of a par
Great course considering the recent wet weather! Well drained and greens were in good condition.
Definitely would recommend this course highly.
a course that requires accuracy off the tee on many holes especially on the par5s
a challenging course that demands accuracy from the tee on especially on the par 5s,a little surprising is the index 1 which is on the red nine which where as its a long par 4 would not be as daunting or as difficult as the 9th on the blue nine or 18th on the red.the par 3s with the exception of the 5th may well require more than an iron off the tees.overall it is a most enjoyable course to play with plenty of tree lined holes but may be a course better played in summer time so as greens can be seen at their best, the staff are very helpful and friendly and the food in the club house is excellent with great views over the 9th and 18th greens,it is a course well worth putting into your diary.
Very good golf course
this is the kind of golf course that i like very much, Dogleg left and right, long straights, uphill downhill par threes, firm fairways , and pristine greens, thick but soft sand traps. perfect for me.
love the course
everything about this course is right. after you sign in you are made feel like a actual member relaxed. i love it.
Between that & Knightsbrook, Must be one of the Nicest Parkland Courses We have Played in Co.Meath! Really Looking forward to playing it again!!! If I had Known in Advance, THAT would have been the Course for My Captains Day!!!
