Wood River Golf Course

I added the 33rd state I've golfed in by choosing this little, rural course in Rhode Island, So happy I did. A placid front belies the challenging back. When you cross the road, you'd better be ready. I used every club in the bag. Friendly staff, affordable round. No tee times. Just show up and play. So glad I found it. Thank you Kate and staff.

Due to some medical conditions, I asked if I could just play a few holes. Their reply was an enthusiastic YES! They asked if I needed any assistance and I knew that they were keeping an eye on me from the club house.

The course is golfer friendly and a great place to get your game in shape and and play. You can use ever club in your bag! Thanks!

This course is a little gem if you love to make a full day out of golfing like my wife and I do. The course is very reasonably priced and the conditions are good but we go there for the full experience. You will not find a better golf course restaurant and you must plan to eat after golf. The people are friendly and you can tell it is a family love. We do not live close by but manage to go here 3-4 times per year.

A little off the beaten path
Watch for Ospreys guarding the chicken coop.
1st 11 holes rather what you would expect, next holes
12 thru 17 not what you might expect, finish up with a par 3, 18th hole. I love coming to the 19th hole. Food is excellent.
Staff is friendly.
