Great course good golf God Bless you, Amen.
Can't believe I played this course for the money with the hot deal price my score was good from the blue but the value was better all the other courses in the area wanted almost 40 dollars on a Monday while I played here for 21 wow even if you pay the the 60 it's worth it very challenging golf course single digit play from blue mid to high handicap play from closer tees or you will not enjoy it as much esp if their is wind but you will not find another well manicured course tee to green anywhere close expect TPC... A David toms course check it out range was nice also! God Bless you, Amen.
Good course. Price not good
This course is pretty nice. I enjoy playing the course. However, the 100 dollar tee time they charge now is out rageous for this specific course. Its located pretty far off the beaten path and out in the middle of big fields. Again, it is pretty. For 100 dollars you would think the guy at the counter wouldnt catch an attitude while being joked with by customers. Food is ok but not great. Club house is ok but nothing impressive. They have gas powered carts so its loud all day while riding. They have guys helping with your carts and they work hard. They do a great job. Bottom line is when i pay 100 for a round of golf i should feel like i got my moneys worth or close. I just didnt even get close. Would i pay 50 dollars to play this course? For sure. But no more. Its a good course but not 100 dollar good. Also, you would think for that steep price they would have a place to use the bathroom instead of a cheap portapotty and would make sure to fill up there water coolers. Nope. Have where empty and the other half were hot.
"Show me the Money!"
Very nice and challenging course. I really liked the layout and enjoyed playing it. I didn't think it rated as a $96 course. It's overpriced by about $30. I had heard rave reviews about the course and my group decided to take a drive to check it out. Again, nice course, but not worth $96. TPC, the Bluffs and Carter Plantation are nicer courses, with upscale clubhouses and amenities, and can be played for less than La Tour's rate. I find it hard to believe that all of the locals are paying $96 each weekend to play here.
Hidden Beauty
This place is out in the middle of nowhere. The course conditions were beautiful and some really exciting holes. The only complaint I had was the navigation from hole #15 to #16, I recommend they put a sign there to guide people to the right hole. This place reminds me of The Bluffs in St. Francisville. Similar layout and conditions, except LaTour is a whole step ahead of that. I went to TPC of Louisiana this time last year and I decided to go to LaTour this year. And if I had to decide again, I would choose LaTour. I had a great time
Best Course in South Louisiana, One of the Best Golf Values anywhere!
La Tour Golf Club is well worth the short drive from New Orleans. Always perfectly manicured with white sand bunkers, and undulating fairways. The only course in the area with elevation changes. The Par-4'soffer a tremendous amount of variety. You'll hit everything from fairway woods to sand wedges for approaches into the large, sloping greens. You will not find a better group of Par-3's on any course than the four at La Tour. The 2 on the front 9 play downhill, over water. Very reminiscent of the 12th at Augusta. The 14th hole is a Peninsula Green that usually requires a long iron approach. The 17th is a perfect tribute to Royal Troon's Postage Stamp.
After the strong Par-5 18th, retire to the grill for cold beer and great Cajun cuisine. Don't miss out on La Tour if you're in the New Orleans area.
Great to Have a Course Like this Close
LA Tour Golf Club is one of the nicest golf courses in Louisiana and a fantastic Test for any enthusiast looking for a great day on the links. The Greens are always great (Even after being aerated) and the Practice facility is 2nd to none.
The rest of the course seems to always be in top shape as well. Keep the ball in play and you wont have to deal with the sometimes penal rough. Fairway are well kept and have great turf to hit from.
The staff is overly helpful and Knowledgeable.
Course has a great degree of difficulty.
Worth the trip from New Orleans. Great course for the $$$.
La Tour

Unprofessional and discourteous staff in pro shop.
My girlfriend and I played the course on Saturday and had a bad experience in the pro shop. The 2 men working there were unprofessional and condescending. We told them how nice the course was but we had a difficult time locating the signs marking the holes which were small and blended in with the landscape too much and maybe needed to be larger for people who are playing for the first time. They were disinterested and discourteous when we tried to express our feelings. I would like to have the owners made aware of this fact but don't know how to contact them. Any help would be appreciated.

Nice course...in good shape...staff arrogant and generally unfriendly. Not going back.

Hello queenie434,
I am the Golf Manager at LaTour and I would just like to offer my deepest apologies for the bad customer service experience you and your girlfriend had. We value your business and feedback very much. We are going to add additional signage to the course in the very near future. Customer service to our players is a top priority for myself and my staff and I am sorry for the bad experience you had,

This course is well maintained
1st time playing at this course was very impressed with the up keep and how nice the fairways as well as the greens were.... Greens were more on the fast side which made it a nice challenge
Excellant value worth the drive
4 1/2 stars. Located in Mathews which is about a hour from the French Quarter by car. La Tour Golf course is co designed by David Toms - PGA tour pro and was built in 2009.
The course is pretty much located in the middle of nowhere with the exception of a few newer homes when you enter the track. The clubhouse is a temporary building which was disappointing BC the course itself is a real gem. The course plays just under 7200 yards and has 4 sets of tee boxes. The course is immaculate on the tees, fairways, sand traps and perfect greens. I booked a on line tee time and received a discount and I found out the the PGA Zurich qualifier was held here the day before.
Pace of play was great and we finished the round in about four hours with no waiting what so ever. I would definitely recommend playing this course if you're visiting the NOLA area. It's so worth the drive BC it's reasonable and in way better shape vs the courses closer to the city.
Great course
Great course, layout was really well thought. Toms did a great job with the bunkering for risk reward. The greens were outstanding, on this trip they were the best we played on. Every where else was in transition, so very slow and patchy, these were excellent.
a hidden gem that needs more attention!!
After couple of average golfing experiences near New Orleans, I decided to take a drive and get out to La Tour. I was obviously hoping for something different, but expected the same boring, flat, average conditioned golf course even way out in Matthew. The only hope I had was that this was a David Tom's signature course.
When I got to the first tee, I was excited because it was nothing like the courses near New Orleans. The fairways were pristine, greens were smooth & fast and the course layout was truly championship caliber. I played the black tees to get a feel for what David Toms had envisioned for this course. Truly a championship caliber course. At $49 w/cart, there is no better deal anywhere. A course like this in Phoenix would be well over $200 a round.
The club house staff was super friendly and definitely took good care of me. My only regret is a double bogey on the last hole... which is a monster of a hole.
Course difficulty changes with the wind. I caught it on a calm day and shot the best round of my life
Highly recommended to anyone who enjoys playing golf. Open course with challenging holes and even some wildlife to look at
Awesome Fairways and challenging greens.
Love the course. Will be returning first chance we get.
The course was in excellent condition.
It was my first time playing at La Tour but it won't be my last. Great course!!!
refuse to play at regular prices....only use Golf Now or PGA discount book.
greens roll true, well manicured bunkers, fairways and tee boxes maintained and were in wonderful shape. Overall with the discount this was a fantastic value and an enjoyable round.
